Hi! May I ask a stupid question...? After all, this _is_ the "users" list, right...? :-) Is there anywhere I can get a tar-ball of .7.1.0 today? I'd like to have a look at it before it is released, and unfortunately, I have to wait for the sysadmin to open a few ports, so I can't get it from CVS. I've surfed, and surfed, and can't find it.... I've even cleaned my glasses... Kjetil |

most likely, the register_globals setting in your php.ini is set to Off. Well I am relatively new to PostNuke and coding with it. I have a question that seems like the solution should be easy= enough. I am making a module that requires variables be passed to it in= the URL. I make the variables added to the url as I normally would (blahblah.com/blah.php?Variable=3Dblah). For some reason this= isn't working when I tack it to the end of the module's URL. I don't understand why, other modules do the exact same thing and work= fine. For example, while: modules.php?op=3Dmodload&name=3DLibrary&file=3Dindex&func=3Dsection&Secti= d=3DART Now, the script can't grab the $Sectid variable When I do echo $Sectid; to see, nothing is echoed. The reason you are receiving those errors is because there is white space in your config.php on line 414. Have you edited the file yourself? If not, then I'd like to see the config file contents in context around line 414 if you wouldn't mind, as the install script will most likely need to be patched--the developer's will most likely need to be notified with the fixes. > -----Original Message----- > From: nagendra prasad [mailto:tn_...@re...] > Sent: Friday, March 01, 2002 4:47 AM > To: Pos...@li... > Subject: [Post-nuke-users] struck with errors after postnuke > installation > > > hi > i have installed postnuke 703 using the tar file > available on postnuke.com site in my sys(linux redhat > 7.2) .after installation & starting using it, > when i typr the url in th webbrowser (netscape), > it gives an error like > > 1) > > "" > Warning: Cannot add header information - headers > already sent by (output started at > /var/www/html/postnuke/html/config.php:414) in > /var/www/html/postnuke/html/modules/NS-Languages/api.php > on line 54 > > "" & then the whole postnuke page gets > diaplayed.what shall i do. > > 2) > after getting the page when i enter the admin pwd & > username (which i gave during installation,)& press > login, > it gives another error like, > > "" > Warning: Cannot add header information - headers > already sent by (output started at > /var/www/html/postnuke/html/config.php:414) in > /var/www/html/postnuke/html/modules/NS-Languages/api.php > on line 54 > > Warning: Cannot add header information - headers > already sent by (output started at > /var/www/html/postnuke/html/config.php:414) in > /var/www/html/postnuke/html/modules/NS-User/tools.php > on line 34 > > Logging you in, hang tigh > > "" > also is there any prtobs if i give the site url name as > http://localhost as web site name during installation? > & i have done that now. > plz suggest me what to .i'm struck. > > tnx prasad > > > _______________________________________________ > Post-nuke-users mailing list > Pos...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/post-nuke-users > |

Hi all.. Question: Occasionally I store articles at my site that are RTF (Rich Text Format) files. How/where should I tweak my Rogue 7.03 set up to be able to display them properly/correctly? I thinking that I'd have to build a module (which I've never done before), but thought that I'd pose the question here before I got started. The RTF content is currently being stored in the "bodytextt" column within the xx _stories table (where"xx" is the personalized Post-Nuke prefix). When the article is selected, the raw RTF code is displayed. I'm thinking that it needs to be redirected somehow to a piece of code to format it correctly, then pass the formatted article back to (??) for display to the user. Any and all tips/pointers would be greatly appreciated. TIA - Dave |

Hello, can anyone give me some clues as to how I go about adding some extra fields to the user registration? I have a PostNuke site for a business club and I need to store the following information: Title First Name, Middle Initials, Last Name, Nationality, Membership Status Company Company Address Company Telephone Company Fax Home Address Home Telephone Home Fax etc. Type of Business Notes Donations Joined Date Subscription Paid / Valid / Expired. etc. You get the idea. So I'm looking for a way to add a number of fields to extend the user registration, display , search area. Is there anything like this already available as an add on? Otherwise, I guess the best approach is to somehow allow user-defined fields in the nuke_users table. I'm rather in the dark regarding how to proceed so any pointers would be much appreciated. regards Steve Groom |
