On a customer project there is a requirement to add shape information (simple coordinates) to an InZone to signify where the item is placed within the ZoneElementDefinition. I would like to extend ShapeableItemSelect to include InZone. Does anyone have any alternative recommendations or concerns with this change?

    Hi,

Really don't know anything about InZone, but would it be possible to sub-divide the zone into smaller zones to accomplish the same result?!

Please ignore if it was too stupid to comment on... ;-)

    Regards,
    Mats

Good to hear from you Mats.
I asked the same question. The answer was that they use a zone breakdown to get to sealed compartments, they then use geometry to locate things inside that zone. I think there are parrallels between AssemblyViewRelationship and InZone, so I think the request is appropriate.
