Hi, I've had a quick look at this beta and have a question: Has anyone had the plug-in module for MobilDb cause a "fatal......" chrash? Without the plug-in Db works fine. I'm using a Vx with OS 3.5.3 Regards Bjørn Erik |

Sorry i make a script to build the plugins but i do a mistake and all plugins have the same name, then only the last one is loaded. I correct my bug quickly. Hans can you look if you have the same trouble with Pilot-DB only? For the version of MobileDB is always the same. To know the MobileDB format i must spend a lot of time, they don't give their format like that. Then you will see new plugin when i complete these version. Salut, Marc. |

Ok, I deleted the db-plugin file. That works better, but for some reason the other plugins will not upload to my palm. Hotsync log says their installed, but they don't show up in filez, and they don't show up in the plugins box. I tried both the palm installer and pinstall. I'm using the plugin option from the menu on the list of databases screen. Is that the right place? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Wallace" <swa...@my...> To: "Anthony Schellenberg" <asc...@ho...> Cc: <Pil...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2002 3:37 PM Subject: Re: [pilot-db-list] db 0.3.4 beta 7 > On Tue, 19 Feb 2002, Anthony Schellenberg wrote: > > > > > I haven't been using DB for a while, thought I'd look at it again. -----Original Message----- From: Craig Bowers [mailto:sys...@ca...] Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2002 3:39 PM To: Anthony Schellenberg Subject: RE: [pilot-db-list] db 0.3.4 beta 7 With beta 7 VFS is gone. When I install the 35K DB-VFS.PRC plug-in, once it's on the device it becomes "db-plugin" (and no this isn't the 1K db-plugin library). VFS is restored if I install the VFS plugin from Beta6. Also, when can we expect the VFS Plugin to start using /Palm/Programs/Pilot-DB instead of the launcher folder. I have many VFS enabled apps, but Pilot-DB remains as the only one co-mingling it's data in with the .prc's Access is getting somewhat slow building the initial file list. I have a 192MB CF card, and a 64MD SD card, both with many apps in /Palm/Launcher. And with only 14 databases in /Palm/Launcher it takes a full 10 seconds (with a blank screen that should probably have a status box notifying the user what's going on), to display the file list. Not that beggars can be choosers, but it'd be nice to see this optimized. Regards, Craig Bowers |

This is very weird. I've reinstalled and synced several times, and the hotsync log says all the files are installed, yet if I use filez to look at all my files, only the db-plugin and db file show up. I also checked my backup folder on my desktop and same thing there. I tried using another palm install program to upload the plugins and same thing. Now when I try to launch db it just crashes. maybe my zip was corrupted. I'll try re-downloading. >From: "Anthony Schellenberg" <asc...@ho...> >To: Pil...@li... >Subject: Re: [pilot-db-list] db 0.3.4 beta 7 >Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2002 15:09:46 -0600 > > >I haven't been using DB for a while, thought I'd look at it again. I haven't been using DB for a while, thought I'd look at it again. I loaded all the plugins (mobile-db, color setting etc) but the only plugin to show up in the list is db-plugin. running that plugin just shows a small about dialog with the three developers names. Hi! I tried the new beta 6 version very briefly, but I downgraded to the beta 5 again. The reason for this is that in the beta 6 the quick jump to the first record that starts with a letter you write in the graffiti area dosn't work anymore :( For me this is the single most important feature (next to the filter search) that was added in the last few months. It would be great if you could reinstate this for the next release. Cheers, Oliver -- Oliver Goetz, mailto:oli...@we... I think I found it then. I am only able to get strange behavior like this: Subtraction involving float and int, when the integer value requires more than 16 bits. Your guess is correct, during the floating point arithmetic operator, the integer was being passed to a function as a 16bit, instead of a 32 bit number.
