	Yes, Link and Linked fields end up represented as strings in the 
destination database as opposed to their real types.  This means that as 
far as the scripts are concerned, you're now trying to multiply two strings 
together.   If they're integers, then you can tell the script to treat the 
strings as such by casting them with the 'int' function:

	(* (int <linked field>) (int <other linked field>))

but if they're floats there is no current way to do this.  However, I've 
been putting together some changes for a 1.1.3 release.  I will add a 
similar function to cast strings to floats.

	Actually, there's no real way to formally donate.  Although, if 
you really think db is great, then some volunteer time is always greatly 
appreciated.

I got the dbsql.py mostly functioning.  I'm having a wierd error with the 
trigger to indicate when the record is modified.  Can you tell me what needs 
to be changed to make this fly?

[pilot-db-list] synchronization isn't working for me...

Hello,

I'm a new user of pilot-db and am having a problem with synchronization.

Using csv2pdb, I successfully created a pilot-db database, which I then
installed on my Palm m100. I am able to open and use the database on my
Palm. However, when I update the data on my computer and use csv2pdb to
recreate the pilot-db file, the HotSync Manager doesn't update (synchronize)
the file on my Palm.

Am I doing something wrong, or does HotSync just not do what I'm trying to
get it to do? How can I make this work?

In case it will help, below is the contents of the .ifo file I'm using. (I
turned the read-only flag on because I don't want changes to be made on the
Palm, only on the desktop in FileMaker, and then the data gets exported to
pilot-db.)

[pilot-db-list] Hires font question for Clie installation

Hi,

I'm new to Pilot-DB, and have just installed it on my Clie T615C. I understand
that the app supports hires fonts for clies, according to the docs, but I am
unable to get any hires fonts to show anywhere, at any time.

I've checked the hires font check-box, and tried enabled and disabling
switchdash to see if that made any difference, but I can't get hires fonts.

Can anyone help me?!?

BTW, I am using the DB v1.1.0B2 installation (though it says on the about page
that it is v1.1.0B1...)

Hi all,

I recently downloaded pilot-db from the web. Great to be able to play around
with databases I ppreviously created at my psion sienna without having to
buy software from palm....
(I still think it's crazy that a simple database tool isn't a default
application on all palm organisers...)

So I'm a newbee. Here's my question.
Are DB-files automatically backupped on my PC when synchronising my Palm
Zire with my PC?
How can I check this....
