I have two db's on with a list of institution and the state they are in and another db for data entry. I would like to be able to have the following lay out: Field1:State ----- links to inst. Db state column Field2:Institution ----- list is generated from the state in field1 to limit the amount to scroll through. so if state=pa then only pa institutions will show up when I pull this list for institutions. Right now I have field1 link and filed2 linked to institutions and it brings up the whole list and fills in both fields when I select one item, which is fine for a small list but this list is big and it takes a while to scroll through it. I'm new to this type of db so please explain well. TIA Jason |

Hi! I installed Pilot-DB 1.1b2 a few days ago and started developing a small DB that should calculate the difference between days, the minimum difference, the maximum nad the average. So my records look something like this: Date Diff min avg max sum count 8.8.01 30 30 30,00 30 30 1 7.9.01 26 26 28,00 30 56 2 3.10.01 0 0 18,67 30 56 3 The last line is not meaningfull, but that's okay and I'm pleased with what I could do so far. But now I wanted to add the average to the date in the next record. This doesn't work because "date" just works for integers and calculated fields are not integer :-( Will there be a fix? I also downloaded the source in order to try and fix it on my own. But yet I'm unable to compile anything since I can't figure out what I will have to install on my Linux in order to compile for a palm pilot. Can anybody give me some hints for that? I'd also like to see some very useful functions in Pilot-DB like: min arg1 arg2 (arg3...) return the smallest arg max .... int arg return a true integer of any arg, not just of date and strings, but also of floats. I would be happy to get a copy of your script database to which you refer. I
am learning how to use these scripts and could use some help. The Pilot-DB
documentation explains the scripting but I must be getting something wrong.
(dur (- (int %1) (int %2))) is being rejected. Even (int %1) is being
rejected on DB rebuild.

Just wondering if we'll see any updates in the near term. I noticed that the checkboxes don't display on a Tungsten C with 1.1b2 (and taps on where a checkbox should be, make checkboxes appear further down the screen), nor can I navigate sideways with a second function (blue) Dpad press, like one can in the 1.04 release (though in 1.04 fonts seem very much more low res, aliased, jaggy, and dark). |

Pour le reste le plugin important dans DB pour qu=92il reconnaisse les
databases sur une carte est le plugin db-DB3vfs.prc. Ensuite il faut que
tu affiches le menu Options, DB :Plugins et que tu lances db-DB3vfs.
Si cela ne fonctionne je te propose d=92essayer de d=E9poser dans un =
premier
temps l=92appli, les plugins et les databases associ=E9es =E0 DB en RAM, =
puis
de placer les bases de donn=E9es sur la carte et de r=E9it=E9rer la =
proc=E9dure
