Hi ,

I am working for an internship on how to integrate a Wysiwyg Editor to 
phpwiki.

I have seen in the cvs repository on sourceforge that some work has been 
done to integrate wysiwyg editors ( tinyMce, htmlarea ... )

I would like to know how is the status of this development ? Is it 
functionnal or are you planning to make it functionnal ? Can I help you ?

After comparaisons between lots of WYSIWYG Editor I think TinyMce is the 
best because it's light and have lots of functionalities. Do you agree ?


Also I have seen Wikiwyg. The development is just beginning but it's 
functional (there is a demo here : 
http://demo.wikiwyg.net/wikiwyg/demo/standalone/  ). It can be useful to 
convert html to wiki and wiki to html rapidly because the developpers 
want to do this all in javascript.

Almost.
action=remove creates a new empty revision of a page.
And pagelists do not include the page anymore.

Done.

Fixed those.

I'm not sure if register_long_arrays with php-5.1.x works good enough
with this.

No problems with php-4.3.x, but several issues with 5.1.x, with captcha
editing and problems to keep user sessions with PrettyWiki urls.

Hmm, I saw that there are too many pending php-5.1 fixes,
so I'll release a full phpwiki-1.3.12 soon.

The preliminary patch against 1.3.11p1 is attached.
There are some issues in the unit tests with orphan pages,
and one apache crash.

Issue: after configuring phpwiki with the configurator, loading
[hostname]/wiki produces no output whatsoever. No error in error logs.
No contacting the DB at all (watching mysql query log)

Running (from memory)
php -f < index.php
from the cmd line in a term , as root, populated the DB with pgsrc as it
should.

after a very interesting trip into the guts of phpwiki, i realised the
culprit was the call to pear's DB.php in  lib/WikiDB/backend/PearDB.php ,
@require_once('DB/common.php');
Removing the @ showed the following in my error log:

include path in my config.ini includes /usr/share/pear.

Anyway, my commenting out that initial call to look for the PEAR file,
it simply did a silent fallback to the DB.php included with phpwiki and
everything seems to be sorted. Please note that , although this should
be the default fallback, the script was FAILING on that first
require_once line , silently, and no output whatsover generated.

Is there something obvious i'm missing ? Something wrong with my setup?
(I understand the issue is that the php instance in my subdomain
couldn't locate the pear files , although it was the path was defined in
the include path setting....)

I can provide other info as needed for proper documentation / fix.

broken.
I get the following error message:

I looked at the hints provided at

Any ideas?

For the list archive -- and maybe the faq, if any:

The setting to require login before users can edit pages in phpwiki 1.3.7 turns out to be in the file wiki/index.php. As mentioned elsewhere, the variable is REQUIRE_SIGNIN_BEFORE_EDIT and the default of 'false' must be changed to 'true.' The same setting exsists in the file config/config-dist.php, for what reason I don't know, but changing it there doesn't affect the wiki's behavior in any noticeable way.

There is an option on 1.3.11 to limit the number of links on a single apge, or to 
test the links against SURBL.

I've enabled now a spam blocklist checker, which is on by default.
It checks any edited content against all external links which are in 
multi.surbl.org and bl.spamcop.net.

Note: It doesn't block user IP's or domains (which should be done on the 
apache access level). It checks the content.

And the Calndar plugin. I have deleted the plugin files, and they still create the 
orphaned pages that are only accessible by the RecentChanges page.

1.  It appears that some spammers have found it and are putting crap
up.  I'd like to stop this from happening.  What can I do aside from
attempting to delete the new pages?

2.  Is there any way to disable plugins?  the spammers seem to use the
AddCommentPlugin and WikiBlogPlugin most of the time.

3.  When I log in, it won't keep me authenticated.  In a matter of one
or two clicks, it reverts to the "You are signed but not authenticated
as alanh."

[Phpwiki-talk] Adding a WYSIWYG Editor

Hello,

I would like to integrate a WYSIWYG Editor on phpWiki to make it easier 
for everyone.

- I have seen in the CVS repository informations about tinyMce Editor. I 
would like to know how is the development status ? Is it already 
functional ?

- After comparaisons between lots of WYSIWYG Editor I think TinyMce and 
RTE Editor are the best to integrate. Do you agree ?

- Also is there a plugin that make the html --> wiki conversion ? ( I 
have seen html2wiki. Is there something else ? )

- Furthermore, I begin to study the phpWiki architecture.  And for tests 
I would like to integrate some javascript code on each "action=edit" 
pages . Is it possible to do that with a plugin ? And/or what files do I 
have to study/change ?

- Finally I have seen Wikiwyg. The development is just beginning but 
it's functional (there is a demo here : 
http://demo.wikiwyg.net/wikiwyg/demo/standalone/  ). It can be useful to 
convert html to wiki and wiki to html rapidly because the developpers 
want to do this all in javascript.

Hello,

I am new to this list. I am trying to install version 1.3.11 with a remote
MySQL server. I have created the tables and have edited the config.ini file.

When I look into the database I find the session and the access log have
been changed but there are no other changes. Also, there are no new files
created in the /phpwiki/pages directory where I think I specified they would
be. I am not really familiar with php or MySQL but I run a forum in phpbb so
I have a little experience.

Mybe the pagename is like that

cccc/oooo/picture

And every of these pages do have a section called "Photo"

Would be very very helpful to can merge this sections on one page with a
