> On the first and any thereafter loading of the wiki, I get the > "Loading up virgin wiki" screen, only it stops at OldStyleTablePlugin.. > it goes alphabetically from A through most of O and just stops there. Does it always stop in exactly the same spot? The only time I've seen similar behavior is when safe_mode is on, so that the PHP execution timeout can't be reset. Then the load times-out. In that case though, repeated attempts at de-virginizing usually succeed eventually, since on subsequent attempts, pages which have already been loaded get skipped... Any messages in the (apache) error_log? > I'm assuming that it's attempting this every time because it's not > finding some of the important pages (RecentChanges and whatnot). HomePage is the "magic" page. And PhpWiki now takes extra care to make sure that it is loaded last. > Has anyone seen this before or do any of you have any ideas for how to > resolve this? If it's not a safe_mode/timeout issue, then my next guess is that either OldStyleTablePlugin or the page after that is triggering a PHP segfault/crap-out of some kind. If that's the case, the only way I know of to start figuring out where exactly the problem is, is to start adding print/echo (and flush) statements in the program flow to figure out just exactly where things are crapping out. |

I think the problem was not that the new link in InterWikiMap wasn't recognized, but that the old cached version of whatever page contained that interwiki-link was still being viewed. Adding the "Google:foo" (or, if I'm right, making any change) to a page, forces the cached version to be out of date. If I'm right, a shift-reload would have done the same thing. If you don't like this behavior try adjusting the setting of CACHE_CONTROL in index.php. > Other thing: the Sidebar theme doesn't work well under IE. Carsten who (I think) created the sidebar theme is a mac-head, and so doesn't use IE either. If you can tell us what needs to be done to fix it, (or better still, send us a set of patches) we probably will. |

Ok... I've been getting a strange issue in the recent (1 mo or so) cvs dev wiki On the first and any thereafter loading of the wiki, I get the "Loading up virgin wiki" screen, only it stops at OldStyleTablePlugin.. it goes alphabetically from A through most of O and just stops there. I'm assuming that it's attempting this every time because it's not finding some of the important pages (RecentChanges and whatnot). Has anyone seen this before or do any of you have any ideas for how to resolve this? Peace, A |

I am tryint to install phpWiki on a postnuke .714 version. I have multisite setup and I want to make phpWiki run under: docs.mydomain.com After some initial install problems with the mysql database connection I got to the point where I get the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: themeheader() in /usr/local/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/htdocs/header.php on line 178 Has any body encountered this problem while installing phpWiki under postnuke? And if so what did you do about it? Michel |

I also have a wiki that is experiencing the corruption described here: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=1918365&forum_id=4517 So far, it has only impacted one page - the longest page in the wiki. Is there any solution besides installing Apache 1.37? I would prefer to keep Apache 2 if possible. Neal |

I have just installed a new copy of the latest PHPWiki here: = http://hammer.amdmb.com/ If you go there, you will see it is unbearably so, and was the same slow = speed before adding my layout to it. I am using a mysql database = backend for it. Whats even more odd is that I am running an older version of PHPwiki = here: http://www.amdmb.com/wiki/ Its on the same machine/server jsut a different directory and all that, = but it runs fast a can be, also using the same MySQL. =20 There is no way I can launch the PHPWiki in that kind of speed.... any = ideas what it could be?? Hi, Ryan, it took me a while to figure that out, too. Not sure if that was a lack of documentation, or whether the answer is in my signature -- anyway, finally I figured out what to do: All went well when I started to edit the file <theme>/templates/body.tmpl, which is the most important page setup file. Going from there, you will find other files that you want to edit, but that's where I started. And now I'm proud to present my Wiki site: http://www.nrw-gospel.de, follow the "Info" link to get into the heart of the Wiki area. -Karsten Ryan Shrout wrote: > I have been trying to figure out these PhpWiki themes for a few hours > and seem to keep running in circles. Hiya folks, I recently determined that the __ for bold and '' for italics do not work with Japanese text... This is at least the case in the phpWiki module for PostNuke. Any ideas on this? Thanks. -- Tony Laszlo http://www.issho.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=LaszloBlog |

The problems cited on my previous messages were almost solved. The message about the output handler is still shown in every Wiki page. Other problems appeared: 1) I cannot see the pages AddingPages, GoodStyle, MoreAboutMechanics, PhpWikiAdministration, ReleaseNotes, TextFormattingRules, WabiSabi and WikiWikiWeb -- they trigger an exception on Apache 2; 2) The page "Fuzzy Pages" shows the following PHP warning C:\Apache\htdocs\phpwiki\lib\WikiPlugin.php:65: Notice[1024]: argument 'page' not declared by plugin 3) Trying to edit a page triggers also an Apache exception; 4) Clicking on the PageInfo button shows two PHP warnings C:\Apache\htdocs\phpwiki\lib\main.php:535: Notice[1024]: PageInfo: Cannot find action page C:\Apache\htdocs\phpwiki\lib\main.php:467: Notice[1024]: PageInfo: Unknown action Thanks for any suggestion and help, Willie Leiva |

Hi! PhpWiki worked fine with Apache 1.3. However, when upgrading to Apache 2.0.43, it stopped working. I tried to reinstall the newest PhpWiki version, 1.3.4, and I followed all the instructions of the FAQ (Q 22) and the PrettyWiki. They didn't work. My problem is exactly that described in Q. 22: I cannot make apache use PATH_INFO to get page names. eg: http://testserver.mynet/index.php/HomePage will return a "Not Found" error - "The requested URL /index.php/HomePage was not found on this server.", and I cannot get the new PATH_INFO wiki file support to work either eg: http://testserver.mynet/wiki . Any suggestions? The URL is http://143.107.231.153/phpwiki/ Thanks in advance, Willie D. Leiva -- PhD student in Computer Sciences |

I have been trying to figure out these PhpWiki themes for a few hours = and seem to keep running in circles. My goal is get the phpwiki system = working within the confines of my websites already defined layout. If = you go here: http://www.amdmb.com/news.php You can see the section with the Webnews listed is the "content" section = of my design. That is where I want to put the Phpwiki.
