Hi, For some reason I installed 1.2 last week and populated the wiki. I am now installing 1.3, and will copy pages over (probably manually). One small problem though, I have managed to get the 1.3 Wiki up and running but I am receiving a PHP Warning.. PHP Warnings In template 'head'(In template 'html'?):67: Notice[8]: Use of undefined constant RECENT_CHANGES - assumed 'RECENT_CHANGES': <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="<?=WikiURL(RECENT_CHANGES, array('format' => 'rss'))?>" /> Any ideas? Cheers, Al. |

I think it is not the problem since the headers are: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sat, 05 Apr 2003 23:15:06 GMT Server: Apache X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.0 Set-Cookie: PHPSESSID=3D9e0aca5c41ba2e85f1e359769af9b5a6; path=3D/ Keep-Alive: timeout=3D15, max=3D100 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html and there is no encoding specified. The only difference with a normal page is the Set-Cookie header. Hi everybody I would like to know if anybody is able to make PhpWiki use another language than English? When I define DEFAULT_LANGUAGE to 'de' and start with a fresh wiki the German pages are loaded from ./locale/de/pgsrc/. But the interface is still in English, that is, all the buttons still use the English captions. The links to actionpages are wrong: there's no page called RecentChanges in a foreign wiki. If I instead go to FrischeSeigen, then I get what's normally on RecentChanges. This is on a newly updated Debian unstable system with PHP 4.2.3 with support for Gettext. Apache is 1.3.27 but I don't think that's got anything to do with it. So, is anybody using PhpWiki in another language than English? I would really like to get it going for I have two Danish sites that I want to deploy it on, and for that it would be nice to have a Danish interface. -- Martin Geisler My GnuPG Key: 0xF7F6B57B See http://gimpster.com/ and http://phpweather.net/ for: PHP Weather: Shows the current weather on your webpage and PHP Shell: A telnet-connection (almost :-) in a PHP page. Hi I would know if you get rid of this blank page problem, I got the same (cvs phpwiki version of today). To remember: The first load show the correct informations (virgin wiki) then the normal load of any page show a blank page. I had a problem with phpwiki. It seemed that apache didnt add an content-coding = gzip I fixed it adding the line header("Content-Encoding: gzip"); just before including any other file. I have not read the whole sources of the wiki, nor i know much on php, so I was thinking, is it a proper behaviour of ob_gzhandler to include the header himself? or is some php file removing it (maybe because i have a variable set to say so...)? |

Hello. Ive been having problems with Phpwiki. I recently recompiled apache 2 (latest) and php (latest too), because I had problems when I requested phpwiki through http/1.1. Apache did not send any Encoding field declaring it was zipped, which it did if connection was through http/1.0 Now I get this error from php, and since im not seasoned on php-apache, here it is: lib/Request.php:143: Warning[2]: ob_gzhandler() [<a href='http://www.php.net/ref.outcontrol'>ref.outcontrol</a>]: output handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used twice What can be wrong there? |

PHPWiki-ers, Using Apache 1.3.27, the corruption issue does not appear to be resurfacing. I, very sadly, do not have the time to discover what, exactly, was wrong, but I will pass off the configuration information here to anyone who would like to examine the problem: - PHP 4.3.1 - Apache 2.0.45 [mpm_worker] or 2.0.46 [mpm_prefork] - PHPWiki 1.3.4 - MySQL 4.0.12 (I also tried on an earlier 3.x version of MySQL) - GCC 3.2 (20020822) Apache 2 PHP configuration: ==================== LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so AddType application/x-httpd-php .php <Files *.php> SetOutputFilter PHP SetInputFilter PHP AcceptPathInfo On </Files> ===================== I'd be happy to hear what the solution is! Gack. Looks like the problem is still reproducibly occurring with Apache v2.0.45 with the "prefork" module. Scratch that hypothesis. :( I'm going to see if Apache 1.3.27 is happy. -d |

PHPWiki Gurus, It seems that we're one of the few installations running PHPWiki with Apache 2 with the "worker" MPM. This may be the culprit. Unlike the default, "prefork", "worker" uses threads. It's possible there is some bad interaction between Apache and PHP and PHPWiki when Apache is threaded. I don't know how happy PHP is being threaded. I'm building a "prefork" Apache 2.0 to run with PHPWiki now to see if it alleviates our problems. I'll keep the list posted. Is bad "worker"/PHP interaction a known issue? -d |

More than likely, you inadvertently added a blank line or two after the '?>' at the end of index.php. > This was at the bottom of the page: > PHP Warnings > > lib/config.php:258: Notice[8]: Undefined index: SCRIPT_NAME > > lib/config.php:276: Notice[8]: Undefined variable: SCRIPT_NAME This is fixed (I think) in the current CVS version. For older versions, try defining SCRIPT_NAME explicitly in index.php to work around this problem. > lib/Request.php:143: Warning[2]: ob_gzhandler() [<a > href='http://www.php.net/ref.outcontrol'>ref.outcontrol</a>]: output > handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used twice Not quite sure what causes this yet (though it's been reported before.) To work around this, disable output compression by PhpWiki. How to do this is (again) version dependent. In recent code, you can define COMPRESS_OUTPUT to false in index.php. In older code, you need to edit lib/Request.php, and remove (or comment out) the guts of method Request::compress_output(). -- -- Jeff Dairiki <da...@da...> |

Hi! The GleanDescription() function in lib/display.php fails to escape double quotes in the description --- this produces invalid XHTML code on the ReleaseNotes page because the description happens to end with ... normalized. I have just set up the latest CVS version to look at the recent changes in PhpWiki, but all I get on loading the new WIKI is a blank page. The initial set up of pages works correctly, but when I try to access any pages all I get is a blank page. Any ideas as to what I have done wrong? I am using MySQL as the database and am running on Apache. Sandy Matheson |

Yes, you're right... I checked the log in CVS and it says that it's always been MEDIUMTEXT... Thinking back, then I must have changed it when I was playing with using full-text indexes in MySQL. They are (unfortunately) only allowed on TEXT columns. By the way, a full-text index worked well for me, giving me relevant hits for my searches. -- Martin Geisler My GnuPG Key: 0xF7F6B57B See http://gimpster.com/ and http://phpweather.net/ for: PHP Weather: Shows the current weather on your webpage and PHP Shell: A telnet-connection (almost :-) in a PHP page.
