Hello members, I have installed phpwiki-1.3.4 and for the most part it works. However, I am still at the early stages of setup and I do have a few problems. My setup uses MySQL backend. When I go to my site http://docs2.wananchi.com/index.php/PhpWikiAdministration, at the very bottom I see some php message: [line wraps have been added, thanks to my MuA] PHP Warnings lib/WikiUser.php:264: Notice[8]: getpreferences() [<a href='http://www.php.net/function.getpreferences'>function.getpreferences</a>]: The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition <b>userpreferences</b> of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded _before_ the session was started Why am I getting that message and how do I deal with it? Secondly, even though I have set the admin password, I still cannot do a dump. Your first step would be to try the 1.3 series. 1.2.x is outdated and unmaintained, as I understand. Hello, I'm new to the list and here so that I can get phpWiki installed. I followed the installation instructions, but for some reason phpWiki is not working for me. I downloaded version 1.2.2 from the phpWiki homepage. I uploaded all files to the directory /wiki on my server (unraveled.com). I then tried to run index.php but only saw a blank screen. So I tried some configuration options and edited config.php to include the URL to index.php and admin.php. index.php still wouldn't do anything. I've already confirmed that my host runs PHP 4. Are there any other special modules I need? Ideally, I'd like to run phpWiki using mySQL, which I also have available on my server. Any suggestions on what I should do next? Your help is appreciated. Does anyone know a way to name a link that's in an old style table? Using the bar "|" character screws up the formatting because that's also used as a divider between cells. I haven't played too much with the definition list style tables because the formatting seems too limited (e.g., I can't make a bold header row and the rest normal text). Hello! I am new to this list, though I have been using PhpWiki now for close to = a=20 year (and am very happy with it, especially for using it for shared=20 projects!!) and have read this list's archives from time to time. I have=20 several PhpWikis running on http://massenmensch.de (1.3.3, 1.3.3jeffhacks= ,=20 1.3.4) and fiddled a little with the code, mainly layout stuff (see=20 http://massenmensch.de/wiki/phpwiki-1.3.4 for the latest). MY QUESTION: What I want to do now, is to generate a menu from an database entry (e.g.= the=20 page "MainMenu") which will always be displayed in addition to the page=20 currently shown. Could you give me a hint on what function to call?=20 * Could I call "displayPage" from somewhere an just change "$pagename" to= =20 "MainMenu" in a "$this"-structure? * Or can I add something like the following to "body.tmpl"? <? $CONTENT2 =3D WikiDB::getPage("MainMenu") ?> <?=3D $CONTENT2 ?> For an alternative I could just pass a request to the database independen= tly=20 and RegExp the content into the HTML-code I like, but I hope there is a w= ay I=20 can do it, using the existing routines! Hello, In the RecentEdits page I get the following error lib/Request.php:299: Warning[2]: ob_start(): output handler = 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used after 'URL-Rewriter' I think I had this error also in some of my own pages, but are not sure if it was the same error. At that time I did not have the time to save the error message. Klaus Leiss p.s. What should happen when I try to restore a Zip Dump ( not a Zip snapshot ). To me it seemed that the system restored the oldest page and generated an edit conflict for all other versions. It would be nice if I could restore a part of the edit history in this way. |

i am getting the following error sporadically on the home page of my wiki: lib/Request.php:143: Warning[2]: ob_gzhandler() [<a href='http://www.php.net/ref.outcontrol'>ref.outcontrol</a>]: output handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used twice my host is using FreeBSD 4.5, MySQL 3.23.49, PHP 4.3.0, Apache 1.3.27, and i'm using phpWiki 1.3.4 having done a google search to see if there was anyone else had encountered/solved this problem, i found that many of the phpwiki sites had this error, at least in google's index. try searching: 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used twice does anyone know what to do about this? thanks, ben. |

I just wanted to ask the group where we stand on adding File Upload support. I remember some talk of it being nearly done about a year ago. That's really the critical feature for a few applications I'm considering. Also, do we have strong user-based permissions yet?
