Are you sure your permissions are correct? It looks just like
'anthropi_wiki@192.168.1.%' doesn't have the necessary permissions on
anthropi_wiki.*.

I use "grant select, update, delete, insert, lock tables on wikidb.* to
user@host;"

similarly, for editing i need to have the authentication
credentials checked against an external database.  i've
gotten that much working by working with login.tmpl in
a new theme -- but on successful authentication i do
*not* go to the edit form.  is there something i need to
do to propagate the user info into the session cookie, or
something like that?

I've been using PHPWiki for a while now and finding it very useful. I 
just upgraded from a previous 1.3.x to 1.3.4, by copying files across 
and then editing index.php to put my mysql  details back in. My mysql 
details are correct but when I load  the page I get the error:

I installed phpwiki with MySql 4 and it runs well. But I can make the
password protection part work. Right now, I force everybody to login before
they do editing, but wiki allows user to login with no/wrong password. Any
suggestions?

[Phpwiki-talk] SSL and login issues

How can I make it so my login screen is proected by SSL? I'm running a
wiki which will be on a public website but I don't want just anyone to
be able to login and edit pages, yet I want users on my system to be
able to login without the danger of sending their regular UNIX logins in
plain text.

Also, I'd like to authenticate against IMAP, or even better IMAPS. What
are the correct settings so IMAP users can login but the rest of the
world cannot? Should I comment out all other forms of authentication? I
seem to be hitting my IMAP server (by looking at xinetd logs) but can't
login with valid logins nor do I know where to look for debugging info.

I look forward to resolving these final issues and using phpwiki.

I'm using a reasonably recent copy of the CVS source, and when I invoke the
script I get "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: extractlinks() in
/usr/local/www/data-dist/phpwiki/lib/plugin/ImageMap.php on line 52"

I'm invoking the plugin like this:

Setting DATA_PATH in index.php so it was set to an empty string. Those line=
s=20
are outcommented and the default resulted in a bad behaviour for me.

It was:
//if (!defined('DATA_PATH')) define('DATA_PATH', '/home/user/phpwiki');

I made it:
if (!defined('DATA_PATH')) define('DATA_PATH', '');

All works well now. I'm using the sidebar theme with the fixed sidebar (whi=

I just installed phpwiki (for internet use), I have a weird problem with it=
=2E I=20
am running Debian + apache + php4 version 4.1.2. phpwiki seems to mess up=20
some urls. The images are invisible, style sheets don't workbecause the url=
=20
to them is wrong. I'll give an example:

As you can see, in both cases the url to the style sheet/image starts with =
a=20
double slash, which makes Konqueror as well as Mozilla treat the first word=

as a hostname.

It's right around 32,000 bytes.

Nor is there a solution other than hacking PHPWiki to give multiple edit
boxes, dividing the content between the two.

Netscape has a hard limit of 32 kilobytes in a single text field.  It
will show more, but not edit.

The problem I'm having is that if I use Netscape Communicator 4.8 to
edit large pages it won't let me type after certain point in time.

How big is the page? Well, it's about 1300 lines and each line has
2-3 words (this is a TOC page).

I do realize this is a Netscape problem because I can edit the same page
with IE. I increased the Cache Memory setup and Disk Case setup in
Netscape but it doesn't help.

Any help?

[Phpwiki-talk] How to deal with "Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect"

I just installed PHPWiki 1.3.4 in a hosting provider running PHP 4.2.3.

MySQL configuration and loading went fine. But when I go to the Wiki 
front page I get this warning (twice):

lib/FileFinder.php:161: Warning[2]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect.  
The script whose uid is 2615 is not allowed to access 
/home/httpd/cgi-bin/php4/lib/php owned by uid 0

Hello,
I installed PhpWiki on my remote server (hosted by www.free.fr) but I =
have some problems.
It seem my host don't support session, any way to disable it ?
To use MySQL, I just set :
'dbtype' =3D> 'SQL',
'dsn' =3D> 'mysql://<account>:<password>@localhost/<basename>,
It is enough ?
What do : 'db_session_table'   =3D> 'session', ?
