Hi Developers,
I want to thank you for this very nice tool but, unfortunatelly, latest versions have one big bug: RDP Disk Redirecting is not working if you create a new RDP connection. Oldest one are working fine.
Here attached what I can see in the console:
PS: I have a lot of connections and now the program is slow on startup
Thanks and regards,
Luca
Console Log
Hi!
Could you please send me the output of command "rdesktop" (exec ona terminal and paste here output, please)
- David.
Console Rdesktop Command
Hi David,
Here attached what you requested by mail.
Thanks in advance.
Luca
Hmmm...
Do you have "xfreerdp" installed?
Anyway, could you please send me the $HOME/.config/pac/pac.yml file?? (it is a plain text YAML file automatically generated by PAC for backup purposes) But please, look for your failing RDP connection. It should be under a UUID entry (search for the title, for example, and give me that whole config, changing any password or *sensible* information, of course! :)
- David.
PAC Example
Hi David,
xfreerdp is installed. I checked the configuration file and old working entries are generated like this:
name: 'Phoenix - Pianificazione'
options: ' -5 -a 15 -0 -z -g 1400x900 -k it -r sound:off -d CONSE -r disk:Dati="/dati" -r disk:Tmp="/tmp"'
New entries are generated like this:
name: Reggiani BO Produzione
options: ' -a 15 -0 -z -g 1400x900 -k it --plugin rdpdr --data disk:tmp:"/tmp" --'
Here attached you can find the export YML of folders with those two example.
Thank you in advance.
Luca
Hi!
First of all, please, could you try "removing" the "xfreerdp" package, and trying again? Let me know if that fixes your problem, please.
- David.
Wonderfull!!!
After removing xfreerdp all is working fine!!!
Thank you very much.
PS: I use PAC a lot and I have hundreds of entries and is slow to startup. Is there a tips for speedup this? Where I can write to you my hints to improve the products?
Luca
Hi!
Nice to hear good new! ;)
Yeah, I know about the "slow" startup when many connections configured...
I have been a long time thinking about it. I DO also have *zillions* of connections, and suffer it... :( Don't worry, I'm still looking for the way to improve it :)
About improvements, any place is welcome: sourceforge(feature request), direct mail message, whatever! :)
Thanks a lot for your patience!!
- David.

I'm impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that's both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
