No

I am using PAC 4.5.5.7 on Linux Mint 17.3 with Cinnamon Desktop and everytime I connect to a new server and a new tab opens the PAC windows is like always on top: When I click another window in the task bar it does not show up but instead PAC stays in the foreground. When I minimize PAC and maximize it the behavior is correct again. Also when I open a new program (from outside PAC) it starts in the foreground and switching windows works again. I don't have this issue with any other program. I am using PAC the same way on Ubuntu 14 at office without that issue but this system will also be Mint soon.

    I can also confirm this (on Linux Mint).
    And besides this, I noticed that you cannot switch back to PAC with ALT-TAB.

    I also have this issue on Ubuntu 14.04. LTS, but with Cinnamon Desktop installed. I have several other desktop variants , however this problem only popups when I'm logged in with "Cinnamon session".

    Yes, same for me. I'm with Linux Mint:
    Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela (Cinnamon Desktop)
    3.16.0-38-generic #52~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri May 8 09:43:57 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    I found a fix to this problem. In /opt/pac/lib/PACMain.pm on line 3477, change

    $$self{_GUI}{main} -> present_with_time( time );

    to

    $$self{_GUI}{main} -> present();

    There must be a bug in mint's version of gtk2 that causes this problem with PAC.

    It also helped me with the 'always on top' issue but could it be that sometimes it doesn't give the correct windows size to the remote bash environment? If I open an editor like nano/vim or view longer text files with 'less' remotely it appear as if it was just a small window (320x240?) and the rest is black. Actually my screen is full hd. I think PAC opens a small default window (320x240) and it needs the original present_with_time(time) function to get the correct size of the tab. It works normal again after resizing and maximizing the PAC window.
