Hi all, I've debugging the "Mapping Write Error: Unable to commit change. Error 500". It has occurred also in my configuration using msynctool, a File Member, the SyncML-HTTP-Server plugin and the Siemens CX75 as SyncML-HTTP-Client. Using slow-sync and a database without entries, the sync succeeds. However, as soon as I try a 2nd sync the "Mapping Write Errors" occurr. As far as I can read the logs, I see that for my vcard entries e.g. 2684354914 the hashtable has been updated, but a SELECT to the hash for this entry does not succeed. Therefore the entry has the changetype ADDED although the entry has already been there. I tried to read the hash.db with sqlite3, however, even this has created a Segmentation Fault. So I think there is a error in area of the hash tables, however, I am not expert. I can't correct the bug, however, I can try to trace and send more logs, if requested. Help would be appreciated. Hi, I own a Nokia 6230 phone which I want to sync via Obex/SyncML. I installed libsyncml like it is described here: http://libsyncml.opensync.org/wiki/obex-guide I used the following options on ./configure: ./configure --disable-http --enable-obex --enable-bluetooth --enable-tracing I can already sync the phone via gnokii, and operate the phone via xgnokii, so my bluetooth setup should be ok. I played around with the various options of syncml-obex-client and got it to do "something", although I'm not sure how good this is. The best behaviour (as in "it outputs an actual message, not just 'Received a transport error'") is when I use the following command: markus@markus:~/opensync/libsyncml$ syncml-obex-client -b 00:15:2A:22:23:9E 7 --identifier "PC Suite" --sync vcard Contacts --wbxml --recvLimit 10000 --maxObjSize 734000 --allowLateStatus It then outputs: connection with device succeeded I/O error : Attempt to load network entity http://www.syncml.org/docs/syncml_represent_v11_20020213.dtd Received an Alert for the DS Server at Contacts: Type: 201, Last 0, Next 55 Just received a new session with ID 6 There was an error in the session 6: Unknown command type The phone then shows the message "Address Book: Error" (in German). The traces are attached. Any ideas on how the situation could be improved? Markus |

Hi everyone, the Sunbird plugin from MultiSync has been ported to OpenSync. It only has minor improvements over the old Sunbird plugin for MultiSync. Basically if the Sunbird plugin for MultiSync worked for you, the OpenSync plugin will work for you too. The Sunbird plugin can sync calendars in the .ics format which are stored on the local file system or a WebDAV server. It should work with the following applications: * Mozilla Sunbird * Mozilla Calendar for Firefox * Mozilla Calendar for Thunderbird * Mozilla Lightning * Probably other programs which use .ics files to store their calendars (please report if you use any of these) The plugin _cannot_ read the .dbs database format of the new Sunbird 0.3 alpha release. Fortunately, you can still use .ics files with the new Sunbird release by subscribing to a calendar with a file:/// url. For your info, the README file from the Sunbird plugin has been attached. Have fun! Markus |

This worked fine. I've been syncing a bit both ways now, and except for that one crash, it seems to work fine :) Two small things though: * Every appointment is two hours off... * When syncing all day events from Evo to the phone, they are created as normal appointments spanning all day. Other way around is fine. Best regards, Stian |

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble compiling on my ubuntu box. From the latest development version: svn co http://svn.opensync.org/libsyncml/branches/6620-branch I: cd 6620-branch autoreconf -sfi ./configure it tells me: =============================================== Unit Tests: Disabled Tracing: Enabled Tools: Enabled Libwbxml: Enabled The transports are: Http Client: Enabled Http Server: Enabled Obex Client: Enabled Obex Server: Enabled Bluetooth: Enabled so, I: make which throws the error: gcc -Wall -Werror -g -O2 -o .libs/syncml-http-server syncml-http-server.o -pthread /usr/lib/libgthread-2.0.so /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so /usr/lib/libxml2.so -lz -lm ../libsyncml/.libs/libsyncml.so -Wl,--rpath -Wl,/usr/local/lib ../libsyncml/.libs/libsyncml.so: undefined reference to `str2ba' which is strange because I have confirmed that I have the bluetooth lib installed with: locate libbluetooth. /usr/lib/libbluetooth.so.1.0.20 /usr/lib/libbluetooth.so.1 /usr/lib/libbluetooth.la /usr/lib/libbluetooth.a /usr/lib/libbluetooth.so I've fumbled around using the little I remember about c compilation to try and get it to recognise my bluetooth libraries in /usr/lib/ but I'm shooting in the dark. Could someone tell me which way to point? thanks Saul |

Hi, I've tried a little Calendar syncing with syncml and evo2-plugins... One huge problem, and one small problem. 1: When I create a calendar entry on the phone and sync it to Evolution, evolution-data-server crashes. And msynctool nevere finishes, so I don't get any traces :( This is the output: Synchronizing group "test2" received event dsession Member 1 of type syncml-http-server just connected Member 2 of type evo2-sync just connected All clients connected or error Member 2 of type evo2-sync just sent all changes Received an reply to our Alert Going to receive 0 changes Received a entry 1180 with data of size 286 from member 1. I think I need that option for the syncml-http-server as well, since the contacts I sync from the Evo to the phone is two hours off... Other than that, just nitpicks which I'll save for later! Really great work! -Stian |

If I wanted to clear out my phone of all contacts, calendars, to-do's, etc., how would I go about doing that? Interestingly, as I am playing with the sync, I'm seeing far more entries come in from the phone then are visible and I'm concerned that they are corrupted somewhat. Better to clear them and start a fresh I think... Norm |

Just tried the new libsyncml with my Sony Ericsson T610 (SE T610) over bluetooth on a Fedora Core 5 system. In summary I was able to compile and install the new libsyncml (by tweaking wbxml2.spec, see below) and was able to achieve contact with my phone over bluetooth (i.e. the bluetooth icon on my phone changes to active for a second), but I don't get any sync information. I have not installed any other plugins yet, so I guess this is the way it should be? What will be the next step for me?
