Category: None Group: 1.6 Status: Open >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Stefan Schroeder (stefan_fkp) >Assigned to: Didier Briel (didierbr) Summary: Mac: mod+Backspace/delete does not work Initial Comment: this is a commonly used short cut for 'delete from cursor to begin of word'. OmegaT should support this. Thank you. Stefan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Didier Briel (didierbr) Date: 2007-06-26 20:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1343245 Originator: NO Fixed in CVS. On a Mac, the modifier key for these functions is not Cmd, but Alt. Didier ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jean-Christophe Helary (brandelune) Date: 2007-06-25 19:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=915082 Originator: NO Interesting... In Word: Alt+ del fwd does not work/Alt+del backward deletes the word to its beginning. And the Cmd+del fwd/bkw produces the unexpected "expected" behavior... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Didier Briel (didierbr) Date: 2007-06-25 19:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1343245 Originator: NO Standards aside, what do you use in Word to delete next/previous word? It's possible Cmd/Ctrl + delete key do not send any code (which would explain why it doesn't work). It might perhaps be worth trying a (horrible) If on Mac, then and test Alt + delete/backspace Didier ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jean-Christophe Helary (brandelune) Date: 2007-06-25 16:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=915082 Originator: NO (OT: hum, Word is not a Mac application :) Even the latest version does not respect most of the Mac GUI guidelines or uses the OS provided services...) In standard Mac apps, it seems that Alt+ either key deletes to the end/beginning of word from point. Cmd or Ctrl do not affect the 2 delete keys. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Didier Briel (didierbr) Date: 2007-06-25 16:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1343245 Originator: NO <<neither Ctrl, not CMD or Alt + any of the two backspace or delete does anything>> Do they do anything in a Mac application (e.g., Word)? If yes, which key does what?
