Greetings!
I have already start coding without reading the guidelines. Actually, I used Claude Fable 5 to create the feature of importing a Trados package (sdlppx) and creating a return package (sdlrpx). I'm not a developer and I need to upload the code.
I have already tested the program with the changes and it's working well.
Kind regards,
Carlos
In general, we can and should implement a filter to support new file format as a
plugin. You are recommend to find a developer to support a creation of the plugin and support it.
There is another note for you to recommend your agent to read the full set of the developer documents that is located in
src_docs/developerin the OmegaT source tree or https://omegat.readthedocs.org/ accesible by web browser. As the integration manager, I don't want to merge your efforts into OmegaT core, but it is free to publish as a plugin.
Carlos,
OmegaT does not accept AI generated code.
As Hiroshi mentionned, you are free to publish your code as a plugin, or to create a fork of OmegaT that includes your code.
The discussion on AI authored code is recent. You can read it on the omegat-developmnet list archive:
