Right now team project work lacks means to store/view translation status for source documents. Translators have to track and coordinate their work elsewhere. For example, a document might be translated and require a proofreading by another translator, and there is no way to tell it from the project itself.
It would be helpful to allow users to edit document translation status and push/pull it from a project repository. It's probably better to let status be any arbitrary string rather than some value from a hardcoded set. User name and modification datetime should be stored with a status message. Also it would be a good idea to store document hash to keep statuses for renamed source documents.
Status display and edit can be put into source file list window, there is enough space for it.
If this idea sounds good enough to pursue I can work on implementation.
