don't really emphasize the fact that only the services that have been set will provide MT.

I just had a quick look, and I think the menu description is fine, but the preference explanations could definitely use an extra sentence or two.

could also be rephrased to make it more obvious that at least one engine has to be enabled to get MT results.

I'll look at it more closely after work.

The current menu explanation is:

Allows you to activate or deactivate the available machine translation engines.

I think it should be more like this:

Allows you to activate or deactivate the machine translation engines after they are properly set in the preferences.

What do you think ?
