Has anybody found a good way to "reinit" so to speak with the 0.5-pre series? I can init 1 then init 2 and have everything restart but I haven't found a way to just restart init 2. Has anybody found a way to do this, or a better solution? This is a custom mainmod, btw. Thanks, Jay |

Hi All, Morphix Base release, 0.4-1d base "Phobos" is no longer available in the sf repository. I know we wish to keep versions to a minimum, but Phobos has IMHO the least Bugs^D^D^D^D features. Whilst I trying to help on on Morphix 0.5-pre3 "Carme" to solve some of the problems I have been using Phobos to make new LiveCDs, where as "Leda" (0.4-1e) I had some problems with kernel limited the length of the append. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=995560&group_id=71814&atid=532548 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=995563&group_id=71814&atid=532548 Just my 2p worth. I of course have local copies of most of the bases so I'm can use any base, but I just wondered what other people use as their working base ? Regards, Brenda p.s. The webmail - Mailserver that I use has just been spamcopped. This messgae got bounced form norma email address. |

Hi Paul, Quoting Paul <bd...@nt...>: > Does this generate the miniroot.gz if required ? Yes, morphix-mmaker depends on mkminiroot-morphix. isomaker uses this script to build the miniroot. It lacks proper documentation besides the README's, as I'm still fixing bugs, but it does build a morphix iso from scratch. cheers, /------------------------------------------------------------------\ | Alex de Landgraaf | The cure for boredom is curiosity | | Student AI & CS, VU, A'dam | There is no cure for curiosity | | Phone: 06-16844084 | | | GPG: http://am.xs4all.nl/key_alex.asc /'-'\ | | www.alextreme.org & www.morphix.org ( o o ) | \------------------------------------------oOO0--(_)--0OOo---------/ |

Looks more like one question :) If you get that message, exit the installer after partitioning and reboot from the live cd (exit Gnome). Then install again, which should then be without partitioning warnings. not doing so will cause difficulties, and possibly dataloss. --=20 /------------------------------------------------------------------\ | Alex de Landgraaf | The cure for boredom is curiosity | | Student AI & CS, VU, A'dam | There is no cure for curiosity | | Phone: 06-16844084 | | | GPG: http://www.alextreme.org/key_alex.asc /'-'\ | | www.alextreme.org & www.morphix.org ( o o ) | \------------------------------------------oOO0--(_)--0OOo---------/ |

I love Morphix Gnome. Two Questions though. (1) After running the install to disk process, I get an fsck failed. Please repair manually. I honestly have no clue where to go from here. I did observe that during the partitioning phase - under cfdisk - the partition table re-read fails. I am instructed to reboot, but cannot (presumably because Morphix is in control. I'm happy to announce the first public version of IsaMorph, version 0.1.0. http://www.brucker.ch/projects/isamorph/ IsaMorph is a GNU/Linux Live CD (based on Morphix) featuring the interactive theorem prover Isabelle. This means, you can boot from the CD and get a fully operational "theorem proving" environment without installing GNU/Linux or Isabelle. Just insert the CD in your PC and prove your first theorem within minutes. IsaMorph contains a fully working Isabelle environment supporting proving and document generation, this includes: - Isabelle (version 2004), see http://isabelle.in.tum.de The interactive theorem prover Isabelle 2004 with at least the following logics compiled in: Pure, FOL, Sequents, ZF, HOL, HOLCF, and HOL-Complex. Thus, after booting IsaMorph you can immediately prove theorems in any of these logics. The CD includes a offline version of the Isabelle tutorials and theory documentation. - Proof General (version 3.4) together with X-Symbol support A powerful User Interface for Isabelle. - teTeX (version 2.0.2) A complete LaTeX environment used for the generation of proof documents. - Other Applications In addition, the CD also contains a variety of applications for a common use. It includes a user-friendly desktop (Gnome) an Internet browser (Mozilla), and so on. All programs distributed within IsaMorph are free software. This means that the operating system and the applications contained in this CD can be freely copied, modified and distributed. So please feel free to give copies to your friends or colleagues. You can download the iso-image from: http://www.brucker.ch/projects/isamorph/ Hope you enoy using it and looking forward to your feedback. Achim |
