That will solve problems compiling older versions of this component. I
got this change approved into Ruby trunk and will be part of next
release.

It is now possible to cross-compile Ruby using mingw-w64 either in 32
or 64bits versions!

Now I need to compile and build all its dependencies, but that is
another story :-)
