Hi! Using Mantis as a generic tracking tool (in my case, instead of tracking bugs, I use it to dispatch non-computer support requests to different persons and then I can get activity reports...), I found the flexibility of the tool awesome. I used almost exclusively Bugzilla before, but be sure next time I need a bugtracker, Mantis will by ontop of my list :) So this first part of this message is to congratulate all developers for such a great tool. Needing to hide some irrelevant fields for my needs, I wrote this patch which basically adds 4 parameters to the configfile, making it easy to hide fields known as "reproducibility", "severity", "priority" and "category". All this patch does is hide the fields from the user view; nothing in the DB schema is changed, nothing in the code logic changes. I had to reorder the fields on 2 or 3 forms so that if some or all of the 4 fields are hidden it doesn't look like hell. But that's all. This is to be applied on Mantis-1.0.0a2 - I hope I'm not too late! -- --====|====-- --------================|================-------- Patrice Levesque http://ptaff.ca/ man...@pt... --------================|================-------- --====|====-- -- |
