I'm trying to download an attachment from a ticket. I can get the ticket information including the attachment id but cant seem to find a way to get the file. # I get the ticket information with this query $mantis = New-WebServiceProxy -Uri http://tickets.empyreanbenefits.com/api/soap/mantisconnect.php?wsdl $ticketdetails = $mantis.mc_issue_get($Sec.Username,$Sec.Password,$ticket) # I can get the attachmetn information with this query $ticketdetails.Attachments # Which returns the information below. Uisng that I try and get the file by using $AttachmentId = $ticketdetails.Attachments.id $mantis.mc_issue_attachment_get('ibarnetson','pwd',$AttachmentId) But it just returns a stream of numbers, no file. Not sure what you mean here ... you could build two different filters which return the same issues, but that's nothing specific to the SOAP API. Imagine you have 5 issues, all with status = open and without an assignee. You can construct filter 1, looking for all open issue and filter 2, looking for all unassigned issues. They would both return the same results but are indeed different. > > - Why using an existing filter_id in mc_filter_get_issue_headers returns > empty array? It should not, unless they filter does not match any issues. Did you send the correct username/password? Do you get any issues returned in the web interface? I see... using a force-broken SSL factory is not an option for us because the app supports multiple data connectors (MantisBT is one of them). and if you force-break SSL certificate check, it will be broken for all of them, not just mantisbt. there is no REST api for MantisBT, is there? this essentially means that people cannot connect to MantisBT using that java library if the server is using a self-signed certificate (and majority of them may do that...) - unless you open a security hole in your app where you force the code to trust any servers, which defeats the purpose of using SSL in the first place (a major part of it anyway - server authenticity verification). which leads to simple passwords intercept when a fake server is inserted in the middle. given that passwords can be LDAP-managed or whatever, this is a problem... I see what you mean. If you look at the project in github [1] you will see that there is no java code at all - we only generate the Axis stubs from the WSDL file. I'd like to keep it that way - simple, no maintenance - so if you need to update the security policy I would suggest to do it in your own Java code. hi Robert! what about providing a pre-configured http client to the library? e.g. this is how I implemented it in Redmine Java API: https://github.com/taskadapter/redmine-java-api/blob/master/src/main/java/com/taskadapter/redmineapi/RedmineManagerFactory.java you can see these methods: public static ClientConnectionManager createConnectionManagerWithExtraTrust( Collection<KeyStore> trustStores) public static RedmineManager createWithApiKey(String uri, String apiAccessKey, HttpClient httpClient) etc. I cannot install certificates on all machines where my program may be running, so I was hoping to be able to provide a pre-configured client/connection to MantisBT Java Library. Looks like a more general query and not related to SOAP. I suggest that you ask on the user forums at http://mantisbt.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=3 Robert -- http://robert.muntea.nu/ |

Hi Robert, >I am not sure I understand the question. Would you like the login page >to authenticate users against other systems? Yes. I use a webmail system which includes more labels - 'Mail', 'Calendar', etc. - in the navigation bar. I making a new tab - call: 'Bugs' -, and link this to the MantisBT login page. If the user is enabled to use the BugTracker System the MantisBT login page is automatically login the user to the BugTracker, otherwise show the MantisBT login page. I hope that is clear on the issue. Tom! |
