I'll add my 2 cents to the browser support question. The company I work for is pretty slow about updating things so we currently run IE7 as our standard browser and that is unlikely to change until we switch to Windows 7 and the Windows 7 switch will not be complete until the end of 2012. Heck, most of the code I work with and support is written in VB6. As for Mantis being used only by developers, that isn't true for us. While we only have about a dozen people using Mantis only a third of them are full time developers. The rest are more business types and domain experts. While they could write a macro or a simple VB program if needed that is not their job. They are mechanical and electric engineers that support our companies CAD users and applications. So in the end what we need is something that will work with older browsers and is also usable by and useful for non-developers. You can still relax that requirement to IE8 so you include more users.. and have a decent compatibility with IE7 and take most corprorate users (not even gmail supported IE6 for a long time). anyway, i'm starting the project soon, if anyone is interested please let me know. Yes. I agree with this point. IMHO, whatever we do with regards to bug/issue reporting(views, bug report page, reports) should also consider non-developers. In our organisation we use mantis as a ticket system for all kinds of technical issues and majority of users are financial/business people who doesn't have any technical/IT background. ________________________________ NOTICE OF CONFIDENTIALITY: This message may contain information that is considered confidential and which may be prohibited from disclosure under applicable law or by contractual agreement.
