I have a new gateway tablet pc C-140X with a a wacom device connected via serial. (I'm sure it's wacom because it says so in the manual and windows vista uses a wacom driver). Most other gateway laptops use the finepoint driver, but not the newer ones i guess. I've tried everything below with both the latest stable and development versions of linuxwacom. i figured out setserial /dev/ttyS0 port 06a8 via windows vista (looking into the device manager). still wacdump /devttyS0 -f tpc is the only command that shows any ncurses-like screen and that shows error messages: 'Parse Data: 1 Invalid argument' and 'WARN: Resetting tablet due to bit errors.' i've tried various configurations of xorg, however i'm not sure i've made it that far in the process. After configuration, the cursor just jumps around randomly. I saw that there was initialization code for the hp latptops, and was wondering if i needed that, but was afraid to play around with it because it wouldn't compile (the version in the documentation) because of lack of include files and because it was written for a different port and i didn't see any easy way to change that. Any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated... -- /me |
