Hi All, With some help from Sean I found the solution to my problem I posted two weeks ago. My problem was 180 degrees rotation not available. Ubuntu 6.10 comes with fairly old wacom stuff and so I had to compile myself. Wasn't easy because standard ubuntu installation did miss a lot off packages needed for compiling operation. And I must say I hardly knew or understood what I was doing. Nevertheless after a final good compile and installation of the latest wacom stuff it all works. My tabletpc Satellite R15-s829 can do on the fly screen rotation and wacom tablet rotation. The version xsetwacom tells me 0.7.4 however the download package had a higher number.... After all if you experience same problem on Ubuntu 6.10 you maybe better want to wait till the ubuntu team upgrades the stuff . Just to share the experience, Besides now Gok works too! It didn't work with former version 0.7.2 on my tabletpc.. Anco Hi all, After quite an evening searching and reading several Faq's etc. I start understanding more of my wacom setup on a tabletpc running ubuntu 6.10 and wacom stuff 0.7.2 (later versions not available in Ubuntu) I don't know how to compile them myself :-( Anyhow I want to rotate on the fly and found some stuff, but not 180 degrees what I want for several reasons. Is this a release problem, because cw and ccw are working fine, but I miss "half" xsetwacom version is > anco@ubuntuAnco:~$ sudo xsetwacom -V > 0.0.5 sudo xsetwacom set cursor rotate CCW Rotate - Sets the rotation of the tablet. Values = NONE, CW, CCW (default is NONE). Anyone an idea on how to still get 180 degrees rotation without restarting X? Thanks, Anco |
