I've never tried your specific scenario (Companion 2 with Linux, connecting to a Linux PC host) but I *think* its possible. IIRC, the display and USB re-routing is done automatically by hardware when both connections are made. There shouldn't be any special driver support necessary. You might try connecting the Cintiq without putting it into standby mode; I think the hardware will also send a suspend signal to the OS and maybe something about already being in standby is causing a problem? You might also consider running `xrandr -v` on your host PC after the Cintiq is connected to get a dump of all of the attached displays. It might reveal something wrong with setup (feel free to provide a copy of the output either as an attachment or through a pastebin service). Also, if you run `dmesg -w` you'll be able to "watch" the kernel logs as they are written; you can try to see if any new messages are logged when plugging in the Cintiq. They may give an idea if what is (or isn't) happening. Hope that helps! Jason --- Now instead of four in the eights place / you’ve got three, ‘Cause you added one / (That is to say, eight) to the two, / But you can’t take seven from three, / So you look at the sixty-fours....
