Hi Aron, thanks for your effort. However I think I would like to wait 2 days or so before I give it another try. I wonder if someone else is dealing with the problem. I did exactly what you suggest and the result was (as I wrote) that the tablet did not even work when connected via USB. The output to the last commands was strange. If I understood it correctly it just said that there was no Wacom driver at all. I could not restore the old driver so I had to make an entirely new installation. I would like to avoid that. I have one question though: did the tablet work (via USB) before you installed the new driver? I wonder if I could install the new driver on a live-system, just for testing. Before I screw up my regular installation.
