Hello, I am trying to make a new Intuos4 work with Fedora Core 8. Quite old, I know. I've tried both 0.8.8-6 and 0.8.6-2 drivers, following the mini-howto. The only substantial changes being substituting xorg-x11-server-devel for xorg-x11-server-sdk-1.3.0.0-47.fc8 and replacing /etc/udev/rules.d/60-wacom.rules with <linuxwacom-ver>/src/util/60-wacom.rules. X11 is configured correctly as per your instructions. xsetwacom has detected both tablets correctly (I prefixed the bamboo identifier with 'b') The Intuos4 is detected as /dev/input/wacom And the bamboo as /dev/input/wacom-touch [# 162]$ xsetwacom list dev bpad pad pad pad bcursor cursor beraser eraser bstylus stylus cursor cursor eraser eraser stylus stylus The bamboo works perfectly. The moment I touch the Intuos4 pen to the Intuos 4 pad (stylus or eraser), X11 bombs and restarts. The Intuos4 pad buttons work fine. The message given in the log is: Backtrace: 0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x6d) [0x47fe0d] 1: /lib64/libc.so.6 [0x3c7a230f30] 2: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input//wacom_drv.so [0x7fba276c2a56] 3: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input//wacom_drv.so(xf86WcmReadPacket+0xa7) [0x7fba276c0547] 4: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input//wacom_drv.so [0x7fba276bf8ed] 5: /usr/bin/X [0x47ff1f] 6: /usr/bin/X [0x46c121] 7: /lib64/libc.so.6 [0x3c7a230f30] 8: /lib64/libc.so.6(__select+0x13) [0x3c7a2cdda3] 9: /usr/bin/X(WaitForSomething+0x1c0) [0x566ec0] 10: /usr/bin/X(Dispatch+0x9a) [0x44a40a] 11: /usr/bin/X(main+0x465) [0x4332b5] 12: /lib64/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf4) [0x3c7a21e074] 13: /usr/bin/X(FontFileCompleteXLFD+0x259) [0x432579] Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting The server version is: xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.3.0.0-47.fc8 x86_64 Both wacom_drv.so and wacom.ko are from the same wacom driver version in each instance. Can anyone shed any light on this?
