[Linuxwacom-discuss] mess up resolution

Hi all,
  ( I think)  I installed Wacom Bamboo fun as per instructions this 
site.   I have a HP 64 AMD  dual core computer with ASUS  mother board 
with ubuntu 8.04 installed.
    I put in the info for  wacom, stylus, usb,   etc.  My 19 inch 
monitor resolution changed   to 640x480 or 600x800  as the choices 
available. I went to system  preferences and resolution  but could not 
change it from there.  The stylice did not work. 
    Because I had work to do and needed to get back to it I reinstalled 
Ubuntu.  I would like to now set up Wacom  and I thought there might be 
a suggestion as to how to fix the resolution problem if it crops up 
again.   My know how is limited so a fairly detailed  explination would 
be helpful.    Thanks much,
