When I disable touch gestures of my t730 wacom multitouch on realease of a touch I always get one point at x=0 y=0 that messes with every input. I tried the version of the wacom drivers that come with Ubuntu 15.10 and the latest ones directly from the git repo.

    I'm not able to reproduce this with any devices over here. Please try installing the "evemu-tools" (or similarly-named) package and the running the following command: sudo evemu-record > /tmp/touchlog

    You should get a prompt to select a device; choose the touchscreen sensor and then touch the few times to replicate the issue. Press "CTRL+C" to stop the recording. Next, make sure /tmp/touchlog conatins a bunch of lines starting with "E: " (which are the raw touchscreen events) and attach it to this bug.

    The Wacom digitizer doesn't show up as a evdev. This is why I used xinput test and not evtest.

    That probably means your sensor is a serial device (instead of USB or I2C). Nowdays the "isdv4-serial-inputattach" daemon would normally be started to create an evdev device, so its a little odd that its not occuring on your system. Double check that the program is installed on your system (which isdv4-serial-inputattach), that the systemd unit exists (ls /lib/systemd/system/wacom-inputattach@.service), and that there are no errors (systemctl status wacom-inputattach@ttyS0) [you may need to change "ttyS0" to "ttyS1", "ttyS2", "ttyS3", or "ttyS4" depending on your system].

    If you see errors in the wacom-inputattach service, you may want to try running sudo isdv4-serial-debugger -v /dev/ttyS0 (again, possibly changing ttyS0 to a different device) to see if you can learn more about what is going wrong.

    The systemd service has the status "loaded but inactive" starting or restarting it completely disables any input device the laptop has until I use ssh to restart X.
    isdv4-serial-debugger log is attached to this comment.
    The thing I notice is that every single touch packet is larger than the driver expects (?).

    Apologies for the delay. I still haven't been able to reproduce a bug like this, but I see a potential way that it might be triggered. Please try building and installing the code from my fix/isdv4-serial-gesture branch on Github and report back if it seems to work better.
