Hey, I'm actually having some problems with some of the things i'm trying to do. the waitforevent and event routines do not behave the way i expect. THe main problem is getting a variable amount of numbers. the auto attendant logic is simple enuff, i'm sure we can make some progress on it tomorrow... kevin > Kev, > > We are installing the system in our office tommorow. > > The auto attendant for Friday is a little more complex than we had > discussed. > > Our auto attendant is failry simple. > > Dean & Vince got a lot of stuff done today. Kev, We are installing the system in our office tommorow. The auto attendant for Friday is a little more complex than we had discussed. Our auto attendant is failry simple. Dean & Vince got a lot of stuff done today. We are installing the same system that the customer has. How is the auto attendant going? -M |

Ben, We here would very much like a Telephony::CTPort::reset_port() method added to the perl module. Can we request that for the next beta? Also, we are having "trouble" in that sometimes when the ctserver is stopped and restarted, the management port takes a long time (sometimes a minute or more) to start, apparently because the old process takes that long to let go of the port. What can be done to reduce the downtime? -dean takemori |

Hi Dean, currently we are ona feature freeze, as there will be a release once we have finished the current testing phase. The problem with the management port is to do with the lower level socket operations of the OS and the only way to fix it is to terminate the managment application before terminating ctserver. Cheers, Ben. On Tue, 2003-08-12 at 09:55, Dean Takemori wrote: > Ben, > > We here would very much like a Telephony::CTPort::reset_port() method > added to the perl module. Kevin, The port_reboot script uses my new port_reboot sub, which was in turn based on Matt's port_reset sub (see common.pl). I am aware that it does not work. I have asked Matt to check to see what the difference is between what he was doing yesterday, which apparently sorta worked (but sometimes needed multiple tries) and what I wrote. -dean |

He has finished the mail sync module and would like to help make it a service. We need to have the following taken care of: 1. I would like to have figured out how we are going to start the all the applications from a power off situation; start the ctserver, and the four voice threads 2. Make the mail sync perl module a service 3. Install watch dog software to watch the pertinent things, ctserver, 4 voice threads, sendmail, etc. I would like to get emails when things go wrong -Matt |

Vince, We had to load Sendmail, the MIME stuff wasn't working until it got loaded. Working fine now, seems slower than on .91 but it works. Can you make the following changes on the Debian box? 1.Add status for "sudo serivce ctserver" stop, start are there but not status 2.vi works very different than it does on Red Hat. i.e. no context highlighting, page up, down, delete, home, keys do not work. Is there a config file we can copy from the .91 box? 3.Can you create a sendmail start, stop, restart etc script for Sendmail We are hitting it again tomorrow at 9AM. The best news is that we did not have to restart ctserver for the last 4 hours, it is behaving nicely. We have a lot of things to fix so would appriciate your help if you have the time. -Matt |

Aloha, It seems like some of the issues we are experiencing are because of the older card we are using on the .91 box The newer cards don't fit well in that chassis, but they fit very well in the .92 box. Therefore I propose two things: 1.When I return we move development to the .92. 2.We get together on Saturday the 9th to glue the pieces together We are very close to having a great product. Dean was in the room on Friday when sales was asking for more details on the project to add to their proposals! We need to push for the last 15% to get the first one installed! Everyone take 3 days off and we can start talking about it again on Thursday. Be ready, when ever I return from one of my trips I am always FULL of energy! Aloha, Matt |

Kevin, Vince There are two known (by Matt and I) problems with the current ctserver. 1) Anytime you try to record something, it only records for about half a second after the beep, and then cuts you off. 2) if the ctserver it started with the "--log <dir>" argument, it seems to not answer the phone when it rings. On the other hand, it accepts portreset commands now and seems to be friendlier when the connecting script goes away and then reconnects. Am investigating #2. I'll probably have to defer #1 to the voicetronix folkes. -dean |

Refresh your repository. I fixed lib/RecordMessage.pl for the new path stuff. There are probably a few more hardcoded/miscoded paths to be fixed elsewhere. the record() needs an absolute full path though.
