The system went down sometime around 10:15 - Symptom, it would not answer the phone. Here is a screen shot of what I was looking at and an explanation I tried to get the ctserver status using sudo. It prompted my for my password, it did not come back with the status so I thought I mistyped my password and entered it again I tried to get status two more times, nothing. ps ax got no hits for ctserver erased my shutdown command and tried a few more things I could not start ct server, I tried it 5 or 6 more times after this screen shot with the same error message pa ax of Openums found all the services. I did a `shutdown -r now` system rebooted and when it came back up, all calls were processing fine -Matt |

I added a service script for openums. It calls a little script called openumsctl that actually execs openums. This is a quick hack to grab all of SDOUT and STDERR because I did not get a chance to unify the logging messages from the different processes the way I wanted to. -Vince |

1.You get" goodbye'd" on after listening to all of your new or saved messages. You should be returned to the main menu 2.When you record names for the first time, the filename and file location are swaped - might be only on the initial recording 3.Dial by name was always playing "kevin" even though the other names were recorded. It hung when someone hung up during the directory. Couldn't handle "9999" All in all, it seems to be going very well. Most of the issues are on the NEC side! :) -Matt |

A config option can be added to ignore differing levels of logging. -Vince |

OK, I will try that. When I ran ./openums from my src directory it appeared to only start one port. CT Server crashed sometime this morning, after 7AM, and before 7:30. By the time I got into the office at 7:40 the four log files were over 127MB each. -Matt |

I first need to update the Log module so that all the running process can report to a named pipe. Once that is done a service script will be added. -Vince |

I have pumped about 40-50 calls through the system with no issues. The dial by name is really broken, so I re-recorded the main greeting and did not include it. Please do not test it, if you make one wrong move, it locks the port I will be keeping a running list. Sourceforge has a bug tracker, maybe I will utilize it. I am going to TRY to not reset the system once on Thursday during business hours, any changes can be applied after hours. Call me if you have any concerns - 348-1285. I'm also looking into professinal prompts. -Matt |

Aloha, Do not restart CT server. It is running as a service now and there are four consoles running on .92, one for every port. I would have to restart each console. Vince, Can we have the four windows run as a deamon? If there was an issue we could stop ctserver, it would kill all the apps, and then resart it, staring the apps when ctserver was running? I can test it tonight if you are ready. -Matt |

That can be challenging. Like our extensions start with 1, and we have a choice 1 in our menu. When you get 1, you have to wait to see if you get another digit before processing the 1. Usually you wait 2 seconds. That is called the "interdigit timeout" -Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin English" <ke...@en...> To: <lin...@so...> Sent: Monday, August 11, 2003 8:32 PM Subject: Re: [Linuxvm-dev] Install at ComTel tomorrow!! > Hey, > I'm actually having some problems with some of the things i'm trying to > do. the waitforevent and event routines do not behave the way i expect. > THe main problem is getting a variable amount of numbers. the auto > attendant logic is simple enuff, i'm sure we can make some progress on > it tomorrow... > > > kevin > > > Kev, > > > > We are installing the system in our office tommorow. > > > > The auto attendant for Friday is a little more complex than we had > > discussed. > > > > Our auto attendant is failry simple. > > > > Dean & Vince got a lot of stuff done today.
