Vince, This will be my first Debian install, I am in the process of downloading the seven install disks and the one update disk. Should I install everything? The debian book I got talks about having to manually mounting the CD-ROM during install. Anyone have any advice? -Matt |

Not sure where the 1198 comes from but you can find the init for the management thread in the file server.ccp After looking at it I can't see what it does. -Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dean Takemori" <de...@ha...> To: <lin...@so...> Sent: Sunday, July 13, 2003 7:11 PM Subject: Re: [Linuxvm-dev] RE: What is port 1198? > Ben Kramer wrote: > >> its a management thread :) > >> Currently undocumented, which reminds me, perhaps I should document > >> it! > >> If you want to learn about it look for management in the server.cpp > >> source file :) > > Hmmm ... Aloha, I trust everyone had a good weekend! I have uploaded a zipped file of a PDF that shows the features of ver = 1.0. Click the download by the linuxvm, then click on = Visio_call_flow.zip. Of course from there we need to drill down. I will have the database fields by this evening or tomorrow. How does Wednesday at 5PM sound for a meeting at my office? We can = decide on the objects and how the email synchronization will be done. I will have the box loaded with Debian and the card installed. I have = ordered 5 more cards and we can install another one in a FreeBSD box = when they come in. Aloha, Matt |

I asked because what it's for and how its used can affect how the "server" script (the script that binds to a TCP port) is implemented. -dean |

Something I thought of on the way home last night ... Did you ever tell us what administration tasks/services were associated=20 with that port 1198? -dean ____________________ I don't know, here is what I got from Voicetronix a few days ago when I = asked: ********************************** its a management thread :) Currently undocumented, which reminds me, perhaps I should document it! If you want to learn about it look for management in the server.cpp source file :) Cheers, Ben. Ben Kramer <be...@vo...>;=20 ******************************* This came from the Voicetronix list on topica.com. Ben who maintains = ctserver (our middleware server) monitors the list. We can post to it = when we have questions or need a feature. -Matt |

Aloha, Very good meeting this evening! I will post the outcome of the meeting to this list tomorrow. I have added Dean and Rob as a developer, can everyone else please register at sourceforge, you can not use the CVS unless you are registered. Aloha, Matt P.S. For a logo maybe we should have Tux juggling 9-10 phones and notepads. Could be funny! |
