Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Can the Voicetronix boards receive caller ID? Just curious...it would be a bonus to see a caller ID string in the emails. Rob |

Does anyone know how to increase the volume of all recorded calls? All of the recordings have a low volume. I looked for a 'gain' setting and did not see it. -Matt |

Take a look at this log output. At PASS 1, it finds three voicemails and three corespodning emails At PASS 2, it finds three voicemails but no emails At PASS 3, it finds three voicemails and three corespodning emails On pass 2 there might have been a lookup failure or general IMAP failure. Is there a place to look. Obviously this is horrible, becuase if "pass 2" happens again the emails will get deleted, then on the next pass the voicemails will be deleted. That equals upset customer!!! Two immidiate fixes, we need to pass the email twice, not just once like we do today, I can accept the extra 10 minutes of sync time. On PASS 3 the emails should be mark as "un" eligible for deletion; this means it would have to fail three times in a row. What do you folks think? *******PASS 1 2003/08/19 16:51:28: Synching mail for extension 122 ... 2003/08/19 16:51:28: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 122 2003/08/19 16:51:28: Found voicemail 289 with 122_20030819083409_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:51:28: Found voicemail 298 with 122_20030819113837_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:51:28: Found voicemail 303 with 122_20030819133517_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:51:28: Retrieving email for user mdarnell@10.100.16.125 2003/08/19 16:51:48: Found email 8889 with 122_20030819083409_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:51:48: Found email 8890 with 122_20030819113837_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:51:48: Found email 8898 with 122_20030819133517_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:51:48: Synching mail for extension 155 ... 2003/08/19 16:51:48: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 155 2003/08/19 16:51:48: Retrieving email for user sshepherd@10.100.16.125 2003/08/19 16:52:46: Zzzzzz ... 2003/08/19 16:57:46: Syncmail caught SYNC ... 2003/08/19 16:57:46: Synching mailboxes ... 2003/08/19 16:57:46: Synching mail for extension 110 ... 2003/08/19 16:57:46: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 110 2003/08/19 16:57:46: Retrieving email for user ldarnell@10.100.16.125 ********PASS 2 2003/08/19 16:58:28: Synching mail for extension 122 ... 2003/08/19 16:58:28: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 122 2003/08/19 16:58:28: Found voicemail 289 with 122_20030819083409_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:58:28: Found voicemail 298 with 122_20030819113837_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:58:28: Found voicemail 303 with 122_20030819133517_00.wav 2003/08/19 16:58:28: Retrieving email for user mdarnell@10.100.16.125 2003/08/19 16:58:45: Marking voicemail 289 with 122_20030819083409_00.wav eligable for deletion 2003/08/19 16:58:45: Marking voicemail 298 with 122_20030819113837_00.wav eligable for deletion 2003/08/19 16:58:45: Marking voicemail 303 with 122_20030819133517_00.wav eligable for deletion 2003/08/19 16:58:45: Synching mail for extension 155 ... 2003/08/19 16:58:45: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 155 2003/08/19 16:58:45: Retrieving email for user sshepherd@10.100.16.125 2003/08/19 16:59:39: Zzzzzz ... 2003/08/19 17:04:39: Syncmail caught SYNC ... 2003/08/19 17:04:39: Synching mailboxes ... 2003/08/19 17:04:39: Synching mail for extension 110 ... 2003/08/19 17:04:39: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 110 2003/08/19 17:04:39: Retrieving email for user ldarnell@10.100.16.125 *********PASS 3 2003/08/19 17:05:22: Synching mail for extension 122 ... 2003/08/19 17:05:22: Retrieving voicemail from database for extension 122 2003/08/19 17:05:22: Found voicemail 289 with 122_20030819083409_00.wav 2003/08/19 17:05:22: Found voicemail 298 with 122_20030819113837_00.wav 2003/08/19 17:05:22: Found voicemail 303 with 122_20030819133517_00.wav 2003/08/19 17:05:22: Retrieving email for user mdarnell@10.100.16.125 2003/08/19 17:05:38: Found email 8889 with 122_20030819083409_00.wav 2003/08/19 17:05:38: Found email 8890 with 122_20030819113837_00.wav 2003/08/19 17:05:38: Found email 8898 with 122_20030819133517_00.wav |

one thing to make sure u remember tomorrow is to change which auto attendant is being used on the customers box. to do this, change going to the open openums and replace Voicemail::AutoAttendantCT with Voicemail::AutoAttendantRAI kevin > Vince, > > The file mwi_clear.pl in my ~/test/ directory needs to be run every > night. > > It needs to be included into the CVS so any new system will get it > 'automagically' > > The make install can move the file to where ever is best > > Please let me know where the file will go on the .92 box - Is there a > directory where all the nightly cron jobs go? > > I plan on doing a make install on the latest cvs tomorrow on the .94 > box, this file needs to be included > > -Matt > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including > Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now. > Download today and enter to win an XBOX or Visual Studio .NET. > http://aspnet.click-url.com/go/psa00100003ave/direct;at.aspnet_072303_01/01 > _______________________________________________ > Linuxvm-developer mailing list > Lin...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linuxvm-developer |

what change? this doesn't make sense.... if it's just in openums, the $dbh is global: kenglish@comtel-prod:~/linuxvm/src$ grep dbh openums my $dbh = &get_dbh(); my $recorder = new Voicemail::RecordMessage($ctport,$dbh); &vmta2($dbh,$msg_id,$ctport,$log); my $UserMenu = new Voicemail::UserMenu($ctport,$dbh); my $aa = new Voicemail::AutoAttendantCT($ctport,$dbh) ; $dbh->disconnect(); if u wanna make a sub in common.pl or something and use, then just pass it to the sub as the first argument.... sub use_it { my $dbh = shift ; my $sql = "select *....." ; my $sth = $dbh->prepare($sql); .... etc ... } call it like this from openums: &use_it ($dbh) ; k > Kev, > > I would make this change but I don't know how to use the "shared" $dbh. > > my $sql = qq(UPDATE VM_Users SET mwi_status = '0' WHERE extension = > XXX); > > XXX = the extension for the mailbox that is hearing the prompts. > > This will reactivate their MWI if they go into their mailbox and do not > listen to their messages. > > -Matt > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including > Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now. > Download today and enter to win an XBOX or Visual Studio .NET. > http://aspnet.click-url.com/go/psa00100003ave/direct;at.aspnet_072303_01/01 > _______________________________________________ > Linuxvm-developer mailing list > Lin...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linuxvm-developer |

Dean, I guess you made that change because the voicemail I just deleted on the phone went to the deleted item. The only thing to make it perfect would be to mark it as read, so it won't appear as an unread item. -Matt |

Kev, I would make this change but I don't know how to use the "shared" $dbh. my $sql = qq(UPDATE VM_Users SET mwi_status = '0' WHERE extension = XXX); XXX = the extension for the mailbox that is hearing the prompts. This will reactivate their MWI if they go into their mailbox and do not listen to their messages. -Matt |

Kev, When someone records their greeting (probably name as well) for the first time the path and filename fields get reversed. Once it is manually corrected, you can edit with no problem. Let mw know when you track it down. -Matt |

Vince, The file mwi_clear.pl in my ~/test/ directory needs to be run every night. It needs to be included into the CVS so any new system will get it 'automagically' The make install can move the file to where ever is best Please let me know where the file will go on the .92 box - Is there a directory where all the nightly cron jobs go? I plan on doing a make install on the latest cvs tomorrow on the .94 box, this file needs to be included -Matt |

We are running on the version of software in the CVS as of now. I have edited the openums startup file to only answer on port 1200, 1201 and 1203 That leaves 1203 open for testing until I get the NIC for .91 (should be tomorrow) The MWI code (bottom of common.pl) looks horrible. There are 8 SQL statements. One of projects will be to optimize that. It runs through the code "instantly" but it could be easier to follow and more straight forward. Dean is coming on site with me tomorrow, wish us luck! -Matt |

Kev, Everything seems to be working well. The only issue seems to be the transfer, I changed the DR's on the .94 box to no transfer. They are not going to have phones, they only will have mailboxes. When someone selects them we should just play their greeting and record. I have our system only using 3 ports. You can do an `./openums -s 1203` and dial 356-0083 -Matt |
