No, my idea would have been penguinppc.org or something. But then, thinking about it, couldn't we just leave it on sf.net? We could chown the files in a cronjob and make backups via ssh, more suggestions welcome. --=20 Earthling Michel D=E4nzer (MrCooper)/ Debian GNU/Linux (powerpc) developer XFree86 and DRI project member / CS student, Free Software enthusiast |

hi, I'm sorry to report...and this is REALLY the most annoying news ever...but the FAQ information has been wiped away again. SF have not taken any steps to remedy the loss of the data earlier this year, and it looks like they wont help this time either - even though it seems to be some adminstrative chore of theirs which wipes our data off the disk! (note: The FAQ system is run via web scripts and thus files created/modified are owned by nobody) I propose to hold the FAQ on another system. One which does not have this problem...and one which I have a full backup/restore control system for. I can set up the FAQ engine in next to no time. its the information which we once held...which is lost...which I am most annoyed about. Rest assured, if the move is voted for (I'm only talking about APUS docs/FAQs) then this wont happen again (note: FAQ-O-Matics can be mirrored or sucked across to new sites). I am afraid/worried for the security of our APUS CVS kernel at SF now.... :-( yours Dr Alan Buxey, Linux-apus support manager guy -- Systems & Network Manager |

Today I finally registered the channel #linux-apus on the OpenProjects IRC Network (http://openprojects.net/). I'm there pretty much whenever I'm online, and when I'm not, at least the ChanServ bot is. I'd be happy to see you there too. PS: I'm having a bit of a hard time (one word: ident) getting on IRCnet, so I don't know if the channel there is still active? If not, I'll change the IRC page on our site to point to the new one. PPS: A very special guest has already looked in a couple times recently. :) --=20 Earthling Michel D=E4nzer (MrCooper)/ Debian GNU/Linux (powerpc) developer XFree86 and DRI project member / CS student, Free Software enthusiast |

Do you have one installed? If yes, try another one, not all of them seem to work everywhere. (It looks as if you have dhcpcd, but that's deprecated. I'm using pump, and then there's also dhcp-client). Dear Per, as i wrote you here i attach another test version of IOBlix Z2 driver. I have added a DSR timeout feature and other things. One feature that may be useful for your tests is the addition of a module's variable named "iob_ether" Now when you load the module two more strings will print the ethernet irq enable bit status. if you load the module normally insmod ioblix the status will be left as is but if you load the module using insmod ioblix iob_ether=0 it will disable the ethernet module's interrupts. insmod ioblix iob_ether=1 does the opposite thing. Please keep me informed about these tests. I attach also the source that will be committed (i hope) tomorrow after some "makeup"... :) Regards, Giorgio |

Yes, one reasons i know is that it superimposes its control to the floppy driver's interrupt so you may have problems to work with it, maybe there are other bad effects... This for 2.2 kernel. With 2.4 kernel it seems to work with my A4000 ( it has a battery clock...) Thanks for the files but i wish them also using a 2.4 kernel , i know i forgotten to ask it last time , but this IOBlix driver will (try to) work with >= 2.4 kernel family. I don't know nothing about that RBM Zorro expansion but i shall try to ask if they can give me some informations Thanks again for your patience, Regards Giorgio |

It is entirely prossible that it is the Zorro-brodge that's causing most of my problems. And as I said above, it's an RBM OnBoard 1200 Ex. Thanks for your help! Per Larsson |

One idea is to envoy a dump of your: 1) /proc/interrupts (before and after module loading) 2) /proc/iomem 3) /proc/tty/drivers (same as before) I don't know if some A1200's bus expansion kits need some extra work, please tell what type you use to investigate about it. During these days (spare time permitting) i shall envoy you another test module. Thanks, Giorgio |
