[Libki-Users] Libki on Ubuntu 20.04

I have a server that I can't upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 because its /boot
partition is too small. I don't have access to the VM hypervisor and can't
expect support from IT. So I'm stuck on Ubuntu 20.04.

I have Libki 4.0.9 (r20.05-223-g4864c26) running there and would like to
upgrade to something more recent.

As this is a production server, I set up a local VM and installed Ubuntu
20.04 to replicate the production VM so I could test the upgrade.

   - I copied the libki-server directory from production to the development
   VM
   - created a libki database on the dev VM and
   - restored a dump of the production libki database

The server boots normally, and the web interface is available. A windows
client seems to be able to connect to it and is reflected as online in the
clients table of the database.

However, the web interface does not display the client and when I try to
log into the administration side, I get  *Error:* Bad username or password.

I have another VM running Ubuntu 22.04 and I followed the same procedure to
replicate my production Libki 4.0.9 without problems. The Windows client is
displayed in the list of available machines, and I am able to log in as an
administrator.

There must be something missing from my 20.04 VM, but I can't figure out
what. I'm not getting any errors in either the libki-server.log or
libki.log. I've compared the installed Perl modules (using cpan -a) and
both environments seem to have the same modules installed, albeit with
different versions. I know that Libki works on 20.04 because that's running
on production.

I have also tried fresh installs of various versions of Libki on both VMs.
Works on 22.04; fails on 20.04.

Any ideas?

Also, is there a way to change the server for a Windows client without
having to reinstall?
