Thanks Benjamin, I did get machine 1 cleared finally. After another restart I started the pos from a shell and finally the database access timed out and i was able to point it back at localhost. :) Version 9.4-rc7 which is listed as the current stable on sourceforge, or was at the time. I ran the mexico_taxes this time ;) I don't have a fix_0.9.4rc8.
