Of course mysql must be configured to accept connections from other computers on the network, and the firewalls not rejecting connections on the mysql port (3306 by default) in the server. Also, you may add another or the same mysql user for each computer ( user@hostname ) in mysql, to be granted to use the lemon database. See the database creation script almost at the end, where the lemonclient user is granted ( lemonclient@localhost) to use the database. This is the text you need to read (from the script). And this to run in mysql-client (logged as mysql root user), just replace the localhost by the appropiate hostname/ip: # Note: if you change the password to the lemonclient user (which is a must), # also re-grant it again with the new password. see the grant clause below.
