Thanks for the fast reply. I already had the verbosity at minimum. Switching to 22 points instead of 33 got it to load. So I guess the 'fix' is: Change things at random until Microsoft likes the profile. I wrote a little C++ program a while back to wrap the (Microsoft) CMS InstallColorProfile() function to use as a custom action in the Microsoft Installer. If I get some time I'll expand it to look up the error. This might shed some light on what the Microsoft CMS is failing on. It is probably something idiotic like a field with an odd number of characters. Bugs in Microsoft software? I'm speechless! Next you'll be telling me that someone can take over my computer just by my clicking on a link or reading my mail. -----Original Message----- From: Marti Maria [mailto:ma...@li...] Sent: Tuesday, April 29, 2003 4:45 AM To: Hugh Brackett; Lcm...@li... If you really needs the profile to be "installed", set the verbosity of profiler to minimum. But please note that "install" does nothing on Windows. The profile is never used by the OS. Is the application software who is responsible to do all operation with profile. And many applications (Adobe PhotoShop, for examples) completely surpasses windows ICM. Chris Cox, from Adobe have said many times ICM is too buggy to be useful. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Cox%2BICM%2Bbu ggy Regards, Marti. |
