Which version of Qt do you use? I think the reason for this bug might be a =
Qt=20
problem which was introduced in 3.1.0 and fixed in 3.1.2. I tried older=20
versions of KRename with Qt 3.1.1 and all have this problem now.

On my system there is not even the window size restored. KRename starts alw=
ays=20
in its default size. Strange that I did not notice this before. This is bug=
=20
and will be fixed.

Everytime I start it I have to move in the center or using the windowbutton=

In the preview window on the filename tab the width of the columns are not=

suitable. e.g. If I try to rename a long filename if have to wide the colum=
n=20
to see the full filename. After that I rename a short filename. Now the=20
columns are much to wide.

3.
I use the german version. The line withe th four tabs "Files > Destination =
>=20
Plugins > Filenames" are still in English. Coincidence or purpose?

KRename 2.5.4 has been released and is avaible for your testing now. Please 
get it from http://www.krename.net . This will hopefully be the last release 
before the next stable version 2.6.0.

Changes:
    2.5.4:
        Fixed a column bug
        Improved some default settings
        Fixed some problems with non ascii chars
        Fixed service menu installation
        Fixed problems with cyrillic characters
        Spell checking of ui texts
        Added auto directory creation ( ##/$ is now a valid template )
        Fixed adding of directory names
        Added caption with full path to the preview context menu
        Added strip whitespace operator "\"
        Fixed filenames containing "/"
        Fixed display of preview failed icon
        Removed debug output when writing meta info
        Refactored and simplified plugin processing

I like especially the new auto directory feature. You can sort your mp3's 
automatically in subdirectories with the artists name: e.g.: "[Artist]/## - 
[Title]" KRename will create a directory with the name of the artist and move 
all files in there and rename them to "## - [Title]"! There are also bug 
fixes with characters which are not standard ascii. All languages like 
russian or japanese should now work with krename.

Before the death of my father, he had taken me to Johannesburg to deposit the sum of US8.5 million (Eight million, Five Hundred thousand United States dollars), in one of the private security company, as he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe this money was deposited in a box as gem stones to avoid much demurrage from security company. This amount was meant for the purchase of new machines and chemicals for the Farms and establishment of new farms in Swaziland. 
Now the family have decided to transfer my father's money to a more reliable foreign account. since the law of Netherlands prohibits a refugee (asylum seeker) to open any bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction throughout the territorial zone of Netherlands, As the eldest son of my father, I am saddled with the responsibility of seeking a genuine foreign account where this money could be transferred without the knowledge of my government who are bent on taking everything we have got. The South African government seems to be playing along with them. I am faced with the dilemma of moving this amount of money out of South Africa for fear of going through the same experience in future, both countries have similar political history. Stimmt, wir machen nichts falsch. rh7 im Dateinamen des RPM's steht n=E4mli=
ch=20
f=FCr RedHat 7. Daher kann das RPM schonmal gar nicht auf SuSE 8.1 laufen. =
1.=20
installiert RedHat KDE in ein anderes Verzeichnis als SuSE und 2. verwendet=
=20
RedHat 7 noch den alten gcc 2.9.x und SuSE 8.1 schon gcc 3.x.

Mitlerweile wurde auch KRename 2.5.3 schon ver=F6ffentlicht. Hohl Dir die n=
eue=20
Version von der KRename Homepage, es gibt auch ein SuSE 8.1 RPM f=FCr diese=
=20
Version.

rh steht f=FCr RedHat.=20
Nimm doch einfach das richtige rpm f=FCr SuSE.

krename-2.5.1-1rh7.i386.rpm l=E4sst sich auf SuSE 8.1 nicht
installieren. YaST2 meldet das libGLcore.so.1 felt. Es
schein Teil des NVidia-Treibers und wird bei Verwendung=20
anderer Grafikkarten nicht installiert. Ignoriert man es=20
durch die entsprechnde RPM Option, dann wird krename
installiert, jedoch st=FCrzt es sofort ab.=20

Allerdings l=E4sst sich krename-2-5-1 jederzeit aus den
Sourcen bauen und funktioniert tadellos. Folglich macht
ihr irgendetwas beim rpm Build falsch.

The 2.5.2 release had a bug which prevented gcc3.x from compiling it. I did 
not recognize this problem, because I am still running gcc 2.9.x. A fixed 
version 2.5.3 will be avaible in about one hour.
