I have been working with Keepass for a couple of years, and it has always worked perfectly. My database of passwords had grown to around 50. I saved the database in a folder called Strongbox along with other encrypted files from SafeHouse, etc, and every day, as part of my podcast download routine, I saved the Strongbox folder to my MP3 player for backup.
My previous PC was giving loads of blue-screen failures, and I returned it to the vendor. Before doing this, I made a backup of my Documents folder, which included Strongbox.
I am in the process of moving into a new PC now. Like the previous, it is a Windows-7, 64-bit PC, so I thought it would be an easy move. However, when I loaded Keepass (V.1), I find that it opens my database, but it only shows 6 (six) passwords.
Can you think of what might have gone wrong? My first thought was that the backup was, somehow, old - from a time when I only had 6 entries, but that doesn't make sense. It is a copy of the file that was in daily use. I have a number of backups, but they all give the same result.

Look in the bottom left corner of KeePass for the number of entries. Mine shows Total: 3 groups / 28 entries.
If you have more than 6 entries you may have moved the panes to they cover part of the view. Try dragging the pane borders around to show the groups - far left had side.
cheers, Paul

That was an impressively quick response! It didn't describe my issue, but I don't know if I'd have found it without your suggestion. It got me thinking - which is never a bad idea in these circumstances.
In fact, the bottom of my screen said "7 groups/28 entries". I looked through them all and counted them, and it was right - but most entries were in the Backup group, and most of those were replicas (same title, same user), for example 9 entries for an account I closed 18 months ago. However, in stepping through them, I became aware that all of my entries gave a "Last accessed" date in 2013.
To cut to the chase, I must have upgraded to Keepass V2 at some point along the way, and I had been looking at the old, V.1 database. I found the .kdbx file, and have now downloaded V2, and all is well again.
I can't tell you how relieved I am! You're my hero, Paul!
