my KeePass GUI lags badly and I'm at a loss how to troubleshoot.
my environment:
hardware: ASUS Chromebook Flip C302CA
os: GalliumOS 2.1, an Xubuntu derivitive (Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS + Xfce)
KeePass 2.38 (via ppa:jtaylor)
Mono JIT compiler version 4.2.1 (Debian 4.2.1.102+dfsg2-7ubuntu4)
it takes ~5 seconds to display 917 entries when selecting the group with the largest number of entiries.
it takes ~10 seconds to display all 1241 entries when selecting Edit menu » Show Entries » All.
fwiw, RAM and CPU usage are both well within acceptable limits; I've uninstalled plugins + deleted their cache; I've removed the Deleted objects information using the Database Maintenance tool; and I reverted to the default KeePass.config.xml settings.
thank you for your time.

What a combination, no wonder it's not been tested! :)
livin' on the edge!
both online and local versions of KeeWeb are snappy, no lag. I'm reluctant to consider KeePassX given it's lack of ongoing development however I'm currently putting KeePassXC through the paces and it's quite snappy indeed.
sucks to have to give up my favorite plugins (and some of the handier KeePass2 settings) but it looks like KeePassXC may be the way forward. at least until GalliumOS 3.0 (Ubuntu 18.04) hits the streets.
meanwhile, if there's anything I can do to help investigate KeePass2 + Mono performance I'm happy to help.

Try the online and local version of KeeWeb to see if it's mono. You could also try KeePassX.

Have you tested KeePass in Gallium on other hardware?
