    @Paul thank you for the reply. What a combination, no wonder it's not been tested! :) livin' on the edge! both online and local versions of KeeWeb are snappy, no lag. I'm reluctant to consider KeePassX given it's lack of ongoing development however I'm currently putting KeePassXC through the paces and it's quite snappy indeed. sucks to have to give up my favorite plugins (and some of the handier KeePass2 settings) but it looks like KeePassXC may be the way forward. at least until GalliumOS 3.0 (Ubuntu...

    @Paul If you sync between Windows and Linux you only need the backup on the Windows box. d'oh! right you are. but the db with the most up-to-date backups would be on the OS I use most frequently, no? I'm hoping to transition from Windows to Linux as my primary OS. n.
