The latest KeePass2Android version 1.12-r3 (released yesterday) (github.com) fixes a crash when using Google Drive. Try reinstalling the latest version KeePass2Android.

Edit: corrected the version number reported in this post.

Otherwise note that KeePass2Android is different than KeePass (a native Windows program). Problems with starting up KeePass2Android on an Android phone should be reported to the KeePass2Android developer at https://github.com/PhilippC/keepass2android/issues.

FWIW, Google Play Store is still at version 1.11-r0. No problem with that.

Presumably the crash was introduced in 1.12-r2 release since the Android2KeePass 1.12-r3 was released a week after 1.12-r2 and its change log lists only the crash fix.

If the play store is currently at 1.11-r0 the original poster must have downloaded Android2KeePass directly from the GitHub repository. This would seem to be confirmed by the original poster's edit of the initial post to include the affected version number.

For most users updating from the Google Play store is probably preferable.
