FWIW, Google Play Store is still at version 1.11-r0. No problem with that.
The database's path looks rather unusual: c.\Programs\Keepass\general.kdbx. Is it the installation directory for the executable, which should be read-only? If rolling back to version 2.54 solves the problem , you may have downloaded a fake installer for 2.55.

I've not installed v2.54 (setup) yet, still studying your instructions. I understand that I'll have to re-activate one trigger and a few password generators. But one question is nagging me: how can KeePass write to the enforced configuration file? Will it ask for privilege elevation? Please, add the answer to the instructions.

The zip file contains also ObjectListView.dll. What's its purpose? There seems to be a potential naming conflict with other plugins (once they start to deliver dll's too).
If you can read RSS feeds then you can go to the files page mentioned above https://sourceforge.net/projects/veracrypt/files/ and subscribe to the RSS feed for the file activity. The RSS button is on the right-hand side of the heading. I'm subscribed to it using the online service feedly.com as RSS reader. Shows just one line per changed file.
