Cannot save changes to the configuration in Tools > Options > Policy (or any other tab under Tools > Options) in KeePass 2.17 in Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit OS.
I have verified the home/gotit/KeePass directory is writable.
This feature works as described on KeePass v2.15 on Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit OS.

I can't reproduce this issue with the latest KeePass and Mono versions; saving the configuration works just fine.

You might want to update to the latest versions, and simply install the "KeePass2" Ubuntu/Debian package.

    Best regards
    Dominik

I still think there is a problem with KeePass v2.17 as it seems to work fine on v2.15 and v2.16.

I am running with mono v2.10.5 and as near as I can tell, KeePass v2.17 is simply not creating an entry in the KeePass.config.xml file when changing a policy from the default value.

However, if I copy a non-default policy entry line(<Plugins>false</Plugins>) from my KeePass v2.16 KeePass.config.xml file and paste it in my KeePass v2.17 KeePass.config.xml file, when I launch KeePass v2.17the option will be modified. If I then switch the option back to the default value, that line is deleted from the KeePass.config.xml and I cannot set/save it back to the non-default value.

I have verified this behavior on 3 machines. 2 are Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit and the other is Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit.

Also, could you please point me to a KeePass2 Ubuntu/Debian package for v2.17? Latest I can find is the v2.16 tar on Debian site.

    Thanks,
    Gotit

2.17 is already packaged but not uploaded yet, you can build it here:
    http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-cli-apps/packages/keepass2.git

but I can reproduce this issue with 2.17 and not with 2.16. So I would like to fix it before uploading the new version.

I filed a bug against mono for this issue:

Why is this closed? It still doesn't work in 2.18. Configuration can't be saved on mono systems.

Is it a windows version bug? I may try to install a redhat version to test.
