After performing Auto-Type with a global hot key
and clicking the keepass tray icon
the search filed is not active.
It can be used after clicking somewhere else in the UI (and then become active = editable).

The control, that previously had the focus (before switching to a different window), gets the focus after restoring. This is the intended behavior, not a bug.

Also, please make sure that the window has the focus. It is possible that by clicking the tray icon the window comes to the foreground but doesn't have the input focus, because the tray icon has. This is standard Windows behavior. If you want the window to always become active, you need to enable the option "Single left click instead of double-click for default tray icon action" and perform single clicks.

    Best regards
    Dominik

Just some arguments to reopen the ticket.

I have attached a sample print screen that shows the issue.
Both 1.15 and 1.16. Copied from xp to vista simmilar sight.

I do have "Single left click instead of double-click for default tray icon action"
    After.

This image is captured after performing global auto-type and then clicking the tray icon.

The case is that no metter how many times I click on the search fild it doesn't get focus.
Simply clicking somewhere else in the keepass window enables the search textbox.

Thanks for the image :-) I was able to reproduce and fix the problem.

Here's the latest 1.x development snapshot for testing:
