When using the Synchronize with file function with files stored on an network share, if the path does not match up exactly, the syncronization will fail with the following error message:

"The process cannot access the file "Test.kdbx" because it is being used by another process."

Steps to Reproduce:

1.Open or create KDBX file on Network share

  1. File -> Synchronize->Synchronize with file path and navigate to same share, but change filepath slightly by switching a character to a capital letter (If original was \test\test.kdbx then change it to \Test\test.kdbx).

This also happens if you open a file with a network path then try to do a manual sync via a mapped drive to that same network path.

Using the save command is an easy enough workaround, but I wanted to mention this to you anyway.

Thanks for reporting this. I've fixed the first issue now.

Here's the latest development snapshot for testing:
    http://keepass.info/filepool/KeePass_170309.zip

The second issue is not a bug; there you have two different file paths, which KeePass treats as two different files as intended.

    Best regards,
    Dominik
