#1225 ø [U+00F8] in Password is converted to o [U+006F] without Warning

KeePass 1.26 [also v1.18, from which I upgraded, hoping this would have been fixed]

The character ø [U+00F8, Latin Small Letter O with Stroke], contained in a password, is [silently, i.e. without warning] converted to the character o [U+006F Latin Small Letter O].

This is probably because KeePass V1 does not store data in unicode so can't handle that character. V2 supports all character sets.

KeePass 1.x is an ANSI application. Thus, if you enter any characters that are outside the current ANSI system codepage, the characters are converted to the nearest one within the codepage.

KeePass 2.x is a Unicode application. Thus, all characters can be encoded (i.e. no conversion occurs).
