Steps to reproduce:
1. Save any password
2. Right click on it’s entry and select Edit/View from the context menu
3. Click on the Show/hide password with asterisk button (important that nothing else is clicked or selected in the dialog before this button is clicked)
Expected:
To be able to see the full password.
Actual:
The last character is cut off at the end. You only see the first leftmost pixel. So you’ll see the ascender of an L or a K but could not tell the difference between them, for example.
Work-around:
Clicking in the password field before clicking the Show/hide password button will reveal the whole password. The difference seems to be that using the work-around, the password is not selected automatically when it is revealed.
Details:
Confirmed the issue on two different systems.
Environment:
KeePass version 2.21 from Ubuntu’s repository on Ubuntu 13.04 running in the default desktop environment.
A workaround for this Mono bug has already been implemented in KeePass 2.23 (available from http://keepass.info/download.html ).
