KeePass 2.19 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64
In the documentation at http://keepass.info/help/base/autotype.html it says that the {CLEARFIELD} special command will clear the contents of the current single-line edit control. Since I've frequently run into issues with Auto-Type and fields that are pre-filled, I created an Auto-Type override in the main group with the following format:
{CLEARFIELD}{USERNAME}{TAB}{CLEARFIELD}{PASSWORD}{ENTER}
When attempting to use Global Auto-Type with this pattern defined on the standard Ctrl-Alt-A hotkey, it always registers in the system as a Ctrl-Alt-Del key press, and brings up the corresponding option screen in Windows.
I realize that I can work around this by using {HOME}+{END} instead of {CLEARFIELD} and have done so, but this definitely seems to be a bug.
This is no a KeePass bug, it's an issue with Windows. When {CLEARFIELD} doesn't work you need a work around as you have found. You can also use ^a (Ctrl A).
cheers, Paul
KeePass translates {CLEARFIELD} to {HOME}+({END}){DEL}{DELAY 50}. If this sequence doesn't work in the target window, it's simply an incompatibility, not a KeePass bug.
